Sad to see the series coming to an end

I've really enjoyed this series. The narration is excellent; characters likeable and though the storylines were a bit too much back and forth (it wouldn't be a story if everyone understood each other, right?) I'm a little sad that it's coming to an end. And I liked that it's clean. There's enough rakish, bodice- ripping novels out there.

Each book in this series just gets better! I love this series and really am not looking forward to it ending!

Good

I really like this series, and I love her characters and clean storylines. My disappointment with this one was that the misunderstandings were overplayed. Once was enough, but the second misunderstanding was eye rolling in that all it would have taken was one question. A shorter and more succinct book would have worked better than having it drag on the last little bit. Marianne's character grew but Kit's didn't keep up.

The Best

The ebb and tide of this story narrated so well by JEB makes it the best, so far, in this series! Totally enjoyed it.

I wish I could give it 6 stars!

I have enjoyed listening to this entire series but this book was even better than the preceding books. I loved how the characters developed and made such a sweet love story. I appreciated the way the characters from earlier stories were woven in to make it deeper and more cohesive. A thoughtful, heartwarming read with lovable characters.

A Book Worth Listening

I was pleasantly surprised how enjoyable this final (well, kind of final) book ended up being. We have seen hints and foreshadowing regarding this relationship more than any other relationship, so I was worried it would not deliver in its full telling. However, Connolly delivered a satisfying, dynamic and winning novel.

While some parts felt reminiscent of some of the previous stories (namely Book 2), it still managed to differentiate itself. I very much enjoyed the development of both characters and their relationship. It felt, in some ways, a more realistic telling of how difficult it is for people to truly change.
