Loveable characters

***mild spoiler alert*** The story wasn't bad by any means. It was high school lovers that reconnect later in life. It just didn't have the depth and emotional journey that I'm drawn to. The mmc was a little too perfect, and made him seem somewhat unrealistic. There was a momentary hiccup/ misunderstanding within the relationship, but it still overall lacked the "oomph" that makes a good contemporary romance, in my opinion. It's a good book for someone that prefers the happy ending really early on in the story, and then to continue to be a witness to the relationship building further. The story was sweet, but a tad boring at times. Again, it's not bad, just a little unrelatable. It's like, I kept waiting on the other shoe to drop, but it just never did. The relationship between the mc's was too good to be true, or maybe I'm just jaded. lol
