There is some good information here. I do think it’s worth buying and listening too. I’ve listened to it multiple times. It’s good to point out that Allen Carr’s easy way is the only thing that ever worked for me to quit drinking. I was an alcoholic for over 10 years. Even worse, I was a binge drinker. I’m lucky to be alive and if it weren’t for hearing about Allen Carr on a Joe Rogan podcast interview I would’ve never heard of his books. I smoked years ago but I quit cold turkey and never picked it back up. I can gamble and easily walk away when I choose. Pick several more and I have the same reaction, it’s not addicting to me. Alcohol was the only thing I ever struggled with (aside from my waist line) and I will always give him his due when it comes to my quitting. He’s the reason I’m still alive today. With that said, I wasn’t as pleased with this book as I am with that one and his others that I purchased. But I’m not really surprised I guess. It seems like dieting or healthy eating is a struggle for most people and everyone has a different way of “what works”. But I’m frustrated because here we have yet another “what to do about being overweight” book and it’s the same problem. Everyone is different and this one may or may not work for you. I do agree with the brainwashing theory, with what they say about processed food and chemicals, etc. they lost me when they went down the vegan rabbit hole. Dang. I’m not even wholly in the meat isle, in fact I can go days without it. But I don’t think we can live without it in a healthy way unless you are “zen”. Due to stress, we need meat. You can disagree with me all you want but plenty of dieticians who went there and came right back are why I disagree with veganism for all. Notice I said “for all”. I’m too stressed to realistically feel good with only veggies and too much of that food is processed. It’s not a solution, it’s a trade off and not even a good one. But I’ll leave it up to the reader. I often say, take what you need and leave the rest. This book is no different. It’s still worth a read (listen).

This book labels meat, dairy and seafood as “junk”. Was excited to see if it would actually do anything for me but everything went out the window and I couldn’t stop rolling my eyes when this terrible advice started being the main point. Humans have been eating and have been meant to be eating animal products for a very very long time. Under researched, harmful information.

This is one of the best nutrition books I’ve read. If you’re on the fence just get it. Nothing is more important than your Health.

Lays out a clear path to a new paradigm! I am looking forward to this new perspective as I have a health condition that requires I avoid what I thought were favorite foods. So now I don’t regard them as favorite.

Nothing we don’t know, but we do need so much to be remembered of! Constantly!!!! I’ve definitely ate less bread by listening to this book, less junk, less desert…

this book was good for people that absolutely know nothing about food and nutrition. for someone that does such as a registered nurse, it was informative however extremely repetitive. after listening to it I know a very few things now that I didn't know before I read it. it all sounds great but the problem is by listening to a book is not going to stop cravings for sweets and other foods but it might help us now be more in control of the amounts of things that people eat and it makes you think about it more. the hunger has been the problem in between meals more than eating good healthy food which I live on. it was okay for me but didn't give me anything constructive to help the brain not want to go to things that even if you tell someone they're not satisfied cuz they're bad for you they actually still are temporarily satisfying and then of course you don't feel good after you eat them but the problem is to stop those feelings of wanting to eat them.

I had heard about Allen Carrs other books and I saw there was a book about weight loss, this book definitely helps to shed light and see things from another perspective
