Based on more than 700 hypnotic-regression interviews with alien abductees and a Roper survey of 6,000 adults, The Threat reveals why the aliens are here and what they want, explains why their agenda has been kept secret, and exposes their frightening plans for earth and its inhabitants. In a direct, authoritative challenge to researchers who believe the abduction phenomenon is essentially benevolent and spiritually uplifting, Professor David M. Jacobs proves that there is a far more disturbing and potentially dangerous plan underway, with possible alien domination at its core.

Story
I'm a 64-year-old retired lawyer and former Assistant Attorney General with an unusual story to tell. Every word of it is true. It happened in a state park known as Devil's Den. For fear of losing my job and damaging my reputation in the legal community, I never spoke about the incident. If it hadn't happened to me, I'd be skeptical too. In 1977, I was an active duty NCO in the USAF. A friend and I planned a two-night camping trip to explore the wilderness. We drove deep into the forest until we came to a high plateau. There on the horizon sat a perfect triangle of three very bright stars....

Publisher's Summary
In the early morning hours of March 28, 2011, Charles and Helene Fontaine experienced something that shattered their beliefs about the nature of reality.
One evening in 1981, Connie J Cannon was on I-75 with her young son, en route to their new home in Florida, when they suddenly found themselves on a military base, with a man in uniform holding a gun to her head as three Grays stood nearby.
In 1979, Diane Fine was on her way from upstate New York to Vermont to see an obstetrics specialist for her high risk pregnancy, and experienced two hours of missing time. When she was finally examined at the clinic, she was told wasn't pregnant.
In 1970, pilot Bruce Gernon was chased by something through the Bermuda Triangle and he has been talking about it ever since - to UFO Hunters, the Discovery Channel, National Geographic, the History Channel, the Sci-Fi channel, and all their foreign counterparts.
These individuals have never met. But they share something significant. In 2003, a Roper Organization survey revealed that 33 million Americans may be abductees. Aliens in the Backyard is their story.

A fascinating subject ...
I was fascinated by the description of this book, and once I started listening, the fascination continued. Rob and Trish MacGregor have written an excellent account of their exploration of alien encounters and alien abduction. Partly because there is little to no obvious judgment on their part on whether the encounters actually happened, I was able to reserve judgment and just listen to what they had discovered. They have an excellent ability to simply describe the events and let the reader decide for themselves what has really happened. I started the book feeling fairly skeptical, for although I absolutely admit to the probability of “otherness”, I have not had much contact with or done much research into this subject, and skeptical is usually where I start. By the end of the book, however, the descriptions of encounters by varied individuals and couples had me shaking my head and wondering … could it really be? The descriptions were clear and pulled me right along, and it was amazing how much commonality could be found between them. And synchronicity – how did I miss this word all my life? I had to go look up the definition, and then I was shouting “YES!” because I have felt the synchronicity in the world so many times without knowing what to call it. I learned quite a bit from this book, and consider it well worth the read for anyone wishing to know something about the subject without a “hard sell” approach. I thought the narrator, Kevin Pierce, was excellent for this type of book. His style was calm, clear, low key, and fairly slow, which worked very well for this subject matter. I probably wouldn't have enjoyed that type of delivery for a suspense novel, but for this one I thought it was perfect. The book translated quite well to audio, except for one complaint. I occasionally became confused as to who was speaking, the narrator or the person having the experience. I liked the style of writing with a main narrator throughout and various people’s experiences interwoven into the story, but a few more “he said,” or “she said” would have been helpful for the audio version. (I never thought I would say that!) But it was a minor complaint in the overall reading of an excellent book by a very appropriate narrator.

very well written
Where does Aliens in the Backyard rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
There are a million UFO books out there. Almost all are passionate and come from the author's heart. But, they can be poorly written.
This one is very nicely organized and well presented. There authors cover a lot of the divergent aspects of the abduction lore. At the same time there is a personal story interwoven within the overall narrative.
Highly recommended.

Scattered and negative with incorrect facts.
I found this book quite scattered info-wise. A little story here, a little story there. Overall not really much new on this subject other than repeating negative input on abductions.
These stories deserve indepth analysing by proper, holistic/regression hypnotherapists and so on.
This is why I prefere authors like Dolores Cannon for instance, where regressions and putting together (at first look on the surface) fragmented information is filled by fear and the ego is put aside where you get a more comprehensive grip on what actually happens, why etc. Both for the ousider and the "abductee" him/herself.
The author mixes both stories on sightings, abductions and convensional law of our physics when we (today) have come to know so much more theoretically.
All this above written in one big mess which leads to....not much of anything, really. Except what we already know.
There are far better work out there.
For a person who knows close to nothing on this subject this book might be interesting. But not much more than that.
Besides, it will probably leave one feeling mixed up, or even worse....fearfull.
In this book there are also some false conclusions based on incorrect facts here and there which is rather irritating.
If you want the REAL stuff, get abook or two by Dolores Cannon when it comes to regression hypnotherapy and UFO's.
On UFO's and geo politics read a book by Lesley Kean!
Then you will get somewhere.

Very Credible Book on this topic
If you could sum up Aliens in the Backyard in three words, what would they be?
Fascinating, revealing and honest.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Aliens in the Backyard?
Without writing a spoiler, using a psychic, asking why the abduction took place and hearing, "For Entertainment". Not so hard to believe. We're not dealing with good here, it's way past "Take me to your leader". More like realizing there are really bad things going on and some of them are for no purpose, others tie into the Shadow government that are so much the hidden hand. If you see one of these things, RUN, don't walk into the light and get the hell out.
Have you listened to any of Kevin Pierce’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No and he was slowly read, not in a bad way. It was paced well. Hi did a good job and I enjoyed it.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
We are defiantly prey and not predator here.
Any additional comments?
Its refreshing not to relive 1947 Roswell or so many "Boriong" Nuts and bolts stories about crafts and the objects. This deals with an examination of what and who are inside those things, but what they are doing to us and asks the question, why. Several cases are presented and many clearly written accounts where your in their shoes. What would you do? It can't bring it home better. Well done and very interesting

What a great exploration of alien encounters
Although this story is mainly about one main story of a couple who sees non-beams of light in the backyard and then he has two hours missing from the morning. They also have minor stories throughout the book of other Eileen and counters. Walton to be one big story I thought this original way to do it was great I enjoyed it very much in the story of Dom and his wife was very intriguing and kept me listening along with the other alien encounters.

Interesting Abduction Accounts
I'm not a person who would seek out UFO and Alien abduction stories but I was in the mood for something different and decided to try this book. It contained some pretty interesting true accounts from people who have claimed to be abducted by Aliens and others who have claimed to see UFO's. It held my attention and I suggested this book to a few others in my office who listen to audible books. I would recommend it if you enjoy listening to true accounts and stories from people who claim to have experienced things like this.
I was provided a free copy of this book at my request for my honest and unbiased review.

Great Book Well Worth It
I was sceptical when i purchased this but thought I would give it a go. I was pleasantly surprised. Having had an interest in this topic for some years now I thought it would not contain much that I had not already heard. I was wrong. There are some fascinating stories and well narrated. Well worth it.
