Publisher's Summary

When Alcatraz and Grandpa Smedry make a pilgrimage to the Free Kingdom city of Crystallia, the Smedry home base, Alcatraz is shocked to see that he is, in fact, a legend. When he was a baby he was stolen by the Evil Librarians, and his mother, a Librarian herself, was behind the whole scheme. Now, with his estranged father, who is acting indeed strange, Bastille, who has been stripped of her armor, and Grandpa Smedry, who is, as always, late to everything (that's his Talent), Alcatraz tries to save a city under siege. From whom? Why, the Librarians of course!

ending notes the next book is by Brian Sanderson?!

in the ending added by the audio book company the person says the next book is by Brian Sanderson!?! not sure how that made it to the audio.

The books are getting shorter and costing more.

I like these books, but they are way overpriced. The books are down to five hours now and cost way too much. The author jokes in his book about tricking you into buying more of his books, but the joke had far too much truth to it.

As Funny As Before!!!!

I do like that there isn't much repeat of environment in this series, this one was finally based in the one of the 3 kingdoms and the way of life there is very interesting.

Brandon Sanderson shows how funny he can get in this series, and I do love those breaks between each chapter, they are really funny. and its ending is always funny.

You get to see how special and strong Alcatraz is in this book. and also what authority he has in these kingdoms.

Really enjoyed and laughed a lot.. beware food and drinks while listening to it.

Fabulous ... and not just for kids

I loved this book. Great story plus snort-out-load humor. I've already recommended this to my friends.

Good enough story, great performance

Several great laugh-out-loud moments and another standout audio performance by Ramon de Ocampo, but I found this installment of the series less engaging overall than the previous two. Still, good enough that I will get book 4!

Narrator

Ramon De Ocampo does a fantastic job of translating a book clearly written to be read in physical form into something that can be fully understood in audio form.
