Publisher's summary

"This is a great idea." Aiden had jumped up, fist punched the air, and yelled, "That's how we do it! BAM!" It stuck. Our initials, our ideas, our brand. My brothers.

Three young men meet in university and form a lifelong friendship. Their pasts dictate the men they are, but their present shapes their future. What happens when these men meet the one person they are destined to be with? Can they fight their feelings and walk away? Or will they each succumb and learn the sweet agony of love?

Haunted by memories of his past, Aiden plays the part of the happy-go-lucky friend. Always ready with a teasing smile or a joke, he is good at hiding his pain. Using his impressive physique as a shield, he keeps his past buried beneath his rugged exterior. Except, one woman sees through his façade. Her green eyes see too much, even as her body tempts him. Even as his heart yearns for her. Cami is determined to make him realize that he is worthy of being loved. He pushes her away at every turn, yet finds himself unable to keep her at arm's length. Who will win this battle of love?

Contains mature themes.

Doormats!!

I absolutely abhor books where the main female character is a COMPLETE doormat. No backbone at all. He manipulated her (which happens sometimes) but god she fell for it each and every time, which was at least 4 times. He told her he didn't want a relationship. He then proceeds to treat her like he wants a relationship, then completely humiliates her. This happens about 4 times. She never put up a tiny muster seed of a fight and try to make him respect her and her feelings AT ALL. Spineless women are a major turn off. Even when he comes around at the end, she falls right into his arms with no conversation on how he should care about her feelings. I couldn't finish it.

This book was pretty painful to listen to (POSSIBLE SPOILERS)

He made love to Cami, rejected her, made love to her, rejected her. Repeat. Repeat. ALL THROUGH THE BOOK!!! Aiden was a jerk, and at one point even humiliated her in front of all their friends!! I only stayed with it because I wanted to hear more about Bentley and Emmy’s story ( and it was worth it)!! At one point I resorted to reading the Kindle version so I could get through it faster!

Loved it

5 star Review Aiden (Vested Interest #2) by Melanie Moreland

Melanie Moreland drew me into the story from the first page; I kept thinking just one more chapter. I loved the characters of Aiden and Cami and all the secondary ones and having already read Bentley and now Aiden, I know that this is going to be one of my favourite series of 2018.

The story was well written, engaging and it was great to see the growth of both the main characters as the book evolved. Aiden is such a tortured character, always putting on an act, the life of the party, never wanting anyone to see below the surface. He feels unworthy of being loved and Cami is bound and determined to show him how much he deserves to be loved and to love.

I really didn’t want to start this book as I have been anticipating reading Aiden since I finished Bentley (who is mine). Ms. Moreland well and truly delivered a story that had me engrossed from start to finish and I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book.

There is so much to love about her characters, the depth and layers that she weaves throughout her stories reminds me of peeling an onion, layer by layer and Aiden was just such a book.

The friendships between Aiden, Bentley and Maddox is truly heartfelt, the love , laughter and obvious care they have for one another is swoon worthy in and of itself, as is the friendships of Cami, Emmy and Dee and you have a group of people anyone would be proud to call friends.

I cannot wait to read Maddox.

Loving the boys of BAM!

Audiobook: Narrators – John Lane and Maxine Mitchell
I loved listening to Mr. Lane as he gave life to not only Aiden but the other characters as well. Even his “female” voice was well done. While Ms. Mitchell was able to give good “male” voice, her narration often bordered on monotone. Nevertheless, I enjoyed listening to this book.

I was excited to get to Aiden’s story as his character intrigued me since first meeting him in Bentley. However, I was a bit disappointed at all the times he pushed Cami away. I understand why his character would react as he did, but it’s something that I’m not a fan of. What I did enjoy was his drive to protect Cami at all cost. And there’s never a doubt to the reader that he cares for her.

This is a relatively fast read/listen with mild angst that for me revolved around Aiden’s treatment of Cami. The mystery wasn’t really mysterious, but the process it took within the story kept me engaged. The steam factor is quite high and very realistic and I loved it when this couple were actually together. It probably isn’t a surprise to anyone who has read this series, but the bromance between Bentley, Aiden and Maddox is one of the highlights as they are just so freaking good together.

Very good

Loving this series and especially the ending of book 2. The characters stories are dramatic and although similar to a lot of other stories, the narrators brings this story to an unique life.

Good story, writing and dialogue. I liked the characters and the story conflict played out really well! The romance was really well done and the steamy bits are excellent!

hmmm...Aiden

Alot of what I expected Aiden to be but really didn't see his history being so deep. Loved the spin on Camis issue. I really enjoyed their journey together.

Alright

Hrmm, this was okay. Their relationship develops in book 1 then continues here 😕 but I love that "getting to know you" part and the first times. I am disappoint. Still a nice listen.

Boring and predictable

One of the worst audiobooks I've ever listened to, boring and predictable. Glad it was included in my membership.

I enjoyed it.

Great followup to 'Bentley'. I like the relationship the boys have and their camaraderie. I like that the ladies keep them on their toes.

Great 2nd Book!

What I really loved about this book was that it didn't go over the MCs story from the first book. It carried on but focused on their story!
I like this and now I am fully invested in this series! Book 3 Maddox, is already downloaded and I am about to hit the Play ▶️ Button!

What a cliff hanger ending. Off to read the next on the series. Characters are easy to relate to.

I couldn't continue listening..

listening to "Bentley" was hard enough with the terrible narrators. I gave it a shot and enjoyed the story so I figured I would give this one a go too as I was curious about Aidens story.. but an hour into listening and I had to give it up. I'm not sure why they would use the same narrators for this book considering it's about a different character.
