Publisher's summary

In Age of Myth, fantasy master Michael J. Sullivan launched listeners on an epic journey of magic and adventure, heroism and betrayal, love and loss. Now the thrilling saga continues as the human uprising is threatened by powerful enemies from without — and bitter rivalries from within.

Raithe, the God Killer, may have started the rebellion by killing a Fhrey, but long-standing enmities dividing the Rhunes make it all but impossible to unite against the common foe. And even if the clans can join forces, how will they defeat an enemy whose magical prowess renders them indistinguishable from gods?

The answer lies across the sea in a faraway land populated by a reclusive and dour race who feel nothing but disdain for both Fhrey and mankind. With time running out, Persephone leads the gifted young seer Suri, the Fhrey sorceress Arion, and a small band of misfits in a desperate search for aid — a quest that will take them into the darkest depths of Elan. There, an ancient adversary waits, as fearsome as it is deadly.

Great Audiobook!

So, on reading some reviews, there was trouble with the dramatization in certain areas. Why there should be points deducted on a great story arc with dramatization versus none at all is beyond me. It was amazing and can't wait to get into the next one.

Great story hate the adapted naration

I tried it and I'm really disappointed I cannot give it back. I listened to a chapter and it's just annoyingly loud and hard to follow. never again. I LOVE these stories. this just doesn't do them justice. Tim Gerard Reynolds is FABULOUS! Don't waste a credit on this, get the original narration and enjoy!

Bring back Tim Gerard Reynolds!

I love Michael J Sullivan's books and have been listening to them on audible for years. I hated this dramatized version, none of the names were pronounced correctly and the characters whilr done well are lacking severely.

Frustrating, boring, and ridiculous.

I had about 4 hours left when I surrendered and read the plot summary very glad I didn't waste anymore time. The whole plot of the first book is about Raithe being a skilled fighter and the god killer but now he's a coward so a group of women consisting of a middle aged widow, a scribe, engineer, and dress maker can be the heros. Oh and a people who made a pottery wheel don't know what a wheel is. I ha e no problem with girl power but the group in this book are utterly incompetent and act like damsels then suddenly are all powerful.

Horrible narration and sound effects

Constant noise in the background detracts . Narration and dialogue mixing is
Very rough. Getting my money back on this one
