Awesome

I am binge listening to the series. The only thing I would change is that I would add more mango. This series is EASILY in my Top Five.

Progression

A good story progression characters you love and hate karma believable behaviors book 2 has a valid cast.

Cool Series

Fun read with cool characters. A refreshing spin on action especially if you are interested in fantasy healers. I am a massage therapist and loved the fantasy medical drama.

This series remains great

The system is engaging, the world grounded but fantastical, the characters realistic and fun. The only thing I would say it lacks is twists within twists. But this is an adventure book with elements of mystery so lacking convoluted misdirection is probably for the best. If you like book 1 it's much the same with more exploration of the world.



Small not relevant spoiler ahead. Ending the book on an interlude that expanded concepts of the system was a great way to create the disconnect. Unlike with book 1 I was very satisfied with this ending.

Pure immersion pleasure

What a happy find! I only discovered (through The Wandering Inn fans) the novels of Selkie Myth a week ago, and found I already owned two in Audible I must have acquired in a big sale event. I will buy more when my annual credits appear in two days. I find these stories compelling, pure escapism, and a story I don't drift away from when listening. I do not share any of the complaints I read from others. The tension from wanting to overcome the sexist, patriarchal world, the stat blocks, the poor decisions, all of them add to my immersion. A fine read! The author's talents impress me, as do the narrator's. Warmly recommended. Keep an open mind and simply wallow in the pleasure of escaping our world and entering another.

Still a fun romp, with lots of stats

I personally find the story full of humour, zest and sillyness but in a good way.
Yes there are a lot of stats but I decided to not let it annoy me and so it didn’t. Mostly it was woven into the narration, but a few times you get hit with it out of the blue.
The narrator does a good job, but I wish there were more pauses as I sometimes found it hard to keep my attention on the very long inner monologues and had to rewind.
Otherwise a good 4 star book all around.

Addition after book 7:
The series get better and the world building we only get hints of now will get more detailed as it progresses and “loose” ends tie together one after another while new plot twists get introduced.

An excellent continuation of the series of a small preview of Elaine's future prospects, in more ways than one.

good book to much stats

I really don't like the minimum word count requirements for audible reviews. . . .

this story has a problem

Author thinks stat reading should be in the mid of a the story and read often it brakes the flow of the story I could careless if she leveled of if she gain ability point she I don’t need to know about it hell every time the reader started talking about it i hit the skip button. and you know i’m not the only one.

Loved it, onto the next.

Just finished the and have started the next, I loved this book and love a good binge, already loving the next.
