Also unknown to most are the recent research developments, including innovations that give a clearer understanding of the ADHD brain in action. In ADHD 2.0, Drs. Hallowell and Ratey, both of whom have this “variable attention trait,” draw on the latest science to provide both parents and adults with ADHD a plan for minimizing the downside and maximizing the benefits of ADHD at any age. They offer an arsenal of new strategies and lifestyle hacks for thriving with ADHD, including

The book is clearly written in a concise manner and presents relevent information about the ADHD, however, the case for audiobook seems to be a different one; I have often dozed off due to monotone reading and lack of any particular hooks beyond my interest in ADHD.

I highly recommend this book, although ebook or print version might be a better alternative for people struggling with ADHD

I like glue the Aurora talked about real world examples and how folks can support themselves through systems, support, meds, exercise, and maintaining connection. I really like emphasis on connecting and connectedness because one may already feel out of place or out of sorts. What a powerful thing to know you can land safely with people who get you. They underscore the power of love and belonging for those learning to love well with their adhd and I appreciated that!

Fascinating read

Thank you for this message of hope!
Thank you for explaining everything with such kindness, and grace.
Thank you for making me understand at almost 35 years old, that it is what I've been struggling all my life with. it has been such a difficult road, but now I feel it is a new begging, that I'm not hopeless, and I can finally do something about it. By moment I almost cried because of how obvious it was that I had this all along, and how my life and mum life's could have been so much easier if I had been diagnosed way before! So again thank you, my heart is filled with hope now, which didn't happened for a very long time! Send you all the love in the world for this book!
Kate.

Relief that the authors understand. The authors are Dr with ADHD and I believe it shows. Relief that they aren’t selling something other then understanding. Relief that someone is trying to help and not just because they can pay for it. This book is a great place to start or for new understanding of ADHD.

I feel a sense of relief.

I almost didn’t listen to this book because of reviews making it sound like a sales brochure. That is disingenuous in the fullest and really disappointing that people do that stuff.

It’s a quick listen but is very empowering. It’s helped me see myself much differently and helped me to understand why I do things.

I’m a “successful” person by US standards but I have nagging short comings that have always left me feeling like my success was just “smoke and mirrors” and the authors touch on that in this book. They helped me internalize why I do what I do and arguably gave me some new tools in my shed to understand myself. To acknowledge why I’m doing what I’m doing and to allow me to know the why so I can attempt to improve those undesirable behaviors.

If you have ADHD, think you have it, or your spouse/child/friend/family member has it; implore you to read this book. It very well could change all of your lives.

Very helpful - not a sales pitch
