Welcome to Christmas Grove, the town full of love, magic, and holiday miracles.

Ilsa McKenzie has only ever loved one man. But 11 months ago, he walked out of her life, leaving her heartbroken and her life changed forever. After leaving the magical town of Christmas Grove to regroup and get her life in order, Ilsa’s back, ready to face her past and start her future with or without him. There’s only one question. Will Zach want to be a part of her life or will he run again?

Didn't Want to Like These

My last review of volume one I was not going to continue this series. Then I went and listened to all of Chase's Premonition Pointe audibles that were available and then I got it. As others have mentioned the Hallmark soap opera quality of these, the classic misunderstandings, the people who want love but are scared to trust again because of terrible past relationships where they were hurt, exes coming back to cause conflict, gasps, drama, people wanting to jump right into making babies and homes and marriages and families together. It's like candy and I find myself coming back for these stories and the sheer entertainment of the melodrama. Because like a Hallmark you know it will ALWAYS work out, you will get the happy ending, and you just get to yell (and laugh) at the audible through all the ups and downs that you often see coming from a mile away. The Christmas tree farm is the only reference I feel like to Christmas except a brief mention of preparing to decorate a tree or there being some Christmas cookies in the house but honestly in these stories I don't have this deep sense of Christmas but I think that's because there is really not a deep sense of surroundings or the town, that isn't the focus, all the focus is on the people and their interpersonal drama. So I don't feel rooted in the town, honestly I would not be able to describe Christmas Grove to you at all, I think my mind fills in the standard Hallmark set not because it's been described but what my mind knows to fill in the blanks. It's fun to watch the small cast of community increase with each story. I really enjoyed getting to actually hear and know the woman who runs the spell shop more she actually fascinates me and would love her to get more story time. I agree with many reviewers this story is better than the first, but remains equally cheesy. Gabra is the perfect narrator for the soap opera tone of these stories. Part of me is like fine I surrender when I am in the mood for this kind of short sweet cheese drenched drama with only the most minimal mentions of magic-literally I have no sense of how magic operates in this town but you can buy spells in your coffee-it works. Silly, fun, lots of conflict and drama and safe landings. The final chapter sets us up with the next volume's starring couple Lily and Chase which I can't lie I look forward to.

As always another wonderful story full of love

I loved Ilsa’s and Zach’s story.
A surprise baby, manipulative exes, and learning to trust again, what more do you need from a book. Add in the fact that it is Christmas and you have yourself a wonderful love story.
I finished this in one sitting, in fact I cleaned my whole house just so I could have an excuse to have my head phones in all day. I would definitely recommend.

Loved it!

Ohh this is such a sweet second chance romance novel!! Zach and Ilsla are such a cute couple and I couldn’t help but have the same mama bear emotions Ilsla had!
The narrator, Gabra Zackman does a wonderful job portraying all of the characters. She uses a variety of tones and inflections throughout the audiobook that for me, it elevated the book for me.
I’d recommend this to anyone who enjoyed listening to second chance romance with a happy ending, in a magical cute town.

Getting Past the Past

Ilsa McKenzie had a big surprise for Zack Frost; or rather, a little surprise. Their relationship abruptly ended eleven months ago with no explanation from Zack. Ilsa ran to Sacremento to learn more about management, but to also get away from Christmas Grove and Zack Frost. Only to find herself, and her baby girl, returning to Christmas Grove to build a life.

Zack Frost couldn't believe his eyes when he saw Ilsa standing outside of his best friends Rex and Holly's house. The woman he pushed out of his life was standing before him. It wasn't until a beat later that he realized she was not standing there alone. She had a baby with her. HIS baby, as Ilsa explained. Zack was floored, but knew one thing. He wanted to be a part of his little girl's life. He and Ilsa had a pretty hot affair, but he ended it when his ex, Whitney, wanted to work things out. It didn't work out, and he left a few months later.

With baggage in both of their pasts, including serious trust and abandonment issues, can Zack and Ilsa make their little family work?

Another great story full of wonderful characters in the magical town of Christmas Grove.

Loved!

This was a great listen. I loved hearing Ilsa and Zach's story. It wasn't an easy relationship, but real ones aren't all roses and chocolates. I loved hearing more about Holly and Rex from the previous book. The town and it's residents are so magical and Christmasy, I would love to visit. The narrator is great. She's easy to listen to and she keeps your attention. I can't wait for the next book.

What a Christmas present.

Love the series. The narrator is terrific and the story touching pulling the listener in.

Surprise! She left almost a year ago and was back with a baby. His. When he'd left he told her they just wouldn't be able to go on and he was leaving. He never returned her calls and never contacted her. His surprise didn't make his first words the best way to restart something with her.

She was surprised as well. She didn't plan to lose her baby to the man who broke her heart. However, he was good with little Mia. Surprisingly good.

I love stories with kids and pets. This is a touching story of two people who have produced a child well-loved and spoiled in a sweet way. Zack knows how to take care of little ones and she adores her daddy. Their efforts to parent and maybe even make a family aren't easy. Each of them has a past that infringes on their present. Will they be strong enough, their feelings enough to fight that past and give their daughter and themselves a future as a family?

A touching story in Christmas Grove not to be missed.
