Welcome to Keating Hollow, the village full of love, magic, and cupcakes, where nothing is more important than family.

At age 18, after a spell tragically backfired, Abby Townsend left Keating Hollow and her magic behind to find redemption. Twelve years later, after being summoned by her family, she’s back.

As soon as she drives into town, she’s already plotting her inevitable exit, but she can’t quite escape the pull of the tightly knit magical community or the soulful gaze of the one man she’s never forgotten. And when a nine-year old witch not only leads her back to her magic, but also steals her heart, Abby’s about to learn what it means to embrace the soul of a witch.

Off to the west coast

Slightly different from Deanna's usually quirky fun loving characters. The Soul of the Witch brings a slightly more serious feel, never fear though, it's a great story. With a past she cannot escape, Abby has some reckoning. Not even a day back in town and she has a run-in with her former love, Clay. Home to help with her father, Abby realizes she has lost her way and not just with her magic.

A great start to a new series, looking forward to more of the Witches of Keating Hollow. I enjoy this narrator, she seems more in tune with the story. I voluntarily reviewed Soul of the Witch as a copy from the author.

Great Book!

This is a great book; this is the Witches of Keating Hollow series and is written by Deanna Chaseand narrated by Gabra Zackman. At age eighteen, after a spell tragically backfired, Abby Townsend left Keating Hollow and her magic behind to find redemption. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I really enjoy this narrator, she is one of my favorites. She does a fantastic job with all the voices and kept my attention until the end.

She ran away after something bad happened but the man she left behind all those year is there too. This is a crazy fun witchy town I would love to visit. It's full of humor, flirting, drama, and so much more great story fantastic characters. I couldn't turn it off! Wow what an emotional roll-a-coaster ride I loved it!

Hot, Hot, Hot

I absolutely love every Character Deanna Chase has created, but Abby and Clay are hands down my favorites! The story of a witch finding her family, her love, her magic, and her home again has touched me to my core. I can identify with the struggles of life Abby has faced. i see my self in the way she has tried so hard to shoulder the pain all on her own to protect the ones she loves. I hope Mrs. Chase continues the story line for many many books! The Audible is perfect! Each character is voiced just as I imagined when I read the book.

I both read and listened to the audio and loved both the book and the audio. Can't wait for the next book in series. The narrator has set the right tone for this story catching all the various emotions well. If you want a quick active and emotional story please listen to this audio.

Great story of love and family!

This was a delightful story full of laughs and sometimes tears. Abigail shuts herself off from her power for over a decade due to a misunderstanding. It takes love from family and friends to help her find her way back.

Soul of the Witch

Abby returns to Keating Hollow, after ten years. Not a happy choice. Her father is undergoing difficult treatment for cancer and she needs to help with the family. She left with a heavy heart. Her return is mixed with joy seeing her family and friends and constant reminders of the reason she left. This is a small town full of witches with different powers,

Seeing her high school sweetheart gives more confusion. He is still hot and pulls to her yet he moved on, didn't he? Besides she has--had--a boyfriend. Where does that leave them? What secret pain does she carry that inhibits her healing powers?

I love the audio. The narration is amazing. Ms. Zackman transitions from character to character giving each a separate personality. The storyline will bring humor, tears, family loyalty and closeness, as well as showing all the different kinds of love. A wonderful world of witches. In the end, I am so glad this is a romance because I know they will end together. Won't they?

Excellent Narration and a funny, heartfelt story!

Gabra Zackman did an excellent job bringing Deanna Chase's characters to life. The humor, pain, and love expressed in the story shine through. I loved it and would listen again. I can't stand a great book ruined by poor narration, and that is unquestionably not the case in "Soul of a Witch." I can't wait to hear the next one!
