At the heart of Mary Higgins Clark's stunning new novel of suspense is a brutal murder: that of Gary Lasch, a respected and successful young Greenwich, Connecticut, doctor and hospital and HMO head. Abridged version too disjointed
I love Mary Higgins Clark and I have enjoyed her abridged books but this one is missing so much that it really isn’t pleasant. It’s disjointed. The narrator has a nice voice. On to the next one. I’m trying to read / listen to them all.

Unusually good for an abridged book
I generally detest abridged books, but this one was easy to follow, and kept the story intact reasonably well. Had it been the full version, I probably would have given it 5 stars.
The performance was a bit dragged, but MHC has much better readers these days. This one did have clear pronunciation and enunciation. Very nice, as that isn't always the case.

An interesting story but ...
The book is difficult to follow on audible because it is very difficult to work out who is who during the first half of the book. Story good though.
