I love reading this series. I wish the word ufda was pronounced correctly, but other than that I would recommend this book to anyone!!

Great Reads

Love this series. Laurain Snelling has long been a favorite author.
Being able to hear the audible was just icing on the cake.

charming historical novel, well performed

I read the first book in the series, found listening a bit harder to follow but charming. I enjoy all the historical detail. The narrator was very good. Pauses between scenes could have been better, and occasionally a flat tone, but overall, a well-modulated voice, with different voices and appropriate accents.

Wonderful series!

So emotional seeing how life is changing for this cast of characters who come alive with the author’s gift of writing. I am going immediately to the next book!

Very well written and narrated. It brings laughter and tears. Additionally, it brings to mind the work and sacrifices of those who first settled this land.

Just can't

I'd like to listen to more in this series because it's so simple to listen to while doing other things, but the narration became insufferable. Sounds like a robot, with emphasis in all the wrong places.
