Just amazing

To me this book is a piece of art. Like an art piece with a devastating hidden meaning. It was beautifully told.

I never wanted it to end

I sobbed, I laughed, I loved this book dearly. Beautiful story of love and friendship and family and loss. I already miss these characters in my life and I just finished this book.

Deeply Emotional

In reality we are only who we believe we are. And then when we leave this earth, we hope people cared enough to understand that.

The development of characters

I ended up feeling like I knew these people. This was difficult because of its heartbreaking story. But I listened in two and a half days because I felt like I owed it to the characters to see it through. The writing was so great the way you were drawn in. Don’t listen or read until you’re ready to hurt. I think this will be a book I come back to and listen to again and again, which I almost never find one of its kind.

So moving

This story is so detailed and incredible. It is heartbreaking and uplifting, and shows a world of friendship and incredible hardship. It’s so well done.

Loved the narration by Matt Bomer , he has such a soothing delivery . This story is exceptional - written with such intricate description you feel you are living in each vignette, feeling every agony and rejoicing in every win. Bravo !

The story you should hear and it will stay with you for a long while

Hearing this story was painful. I kept asking myself why am I sticking with this story? There were parts of the book that were so difficult to hear. Of course there are trigger warnings for childhood sex abuse and trauma. I really wanted this story to have a happy ending so I stuck with it. I am so grateful for my own childhood now and am glad I listened to this book.
