Suspenseful

Bonnie Traymore is a new author to me and I am surprised I have not come across this author’s books before. Thus may ga e been my first listen but it won’t be my last.

When Morgan and Kyle go on a getaway, Kyle disappears and Morgan is attacked. Why have they been targeted?

Morgan is determined to investigate and along with her friend Carla they go looking for answers.

What follows is an entertaining, fast paced suspense story that kept me invested. There were a number of twist and turns that kept me guessing.

The narration by Meghan Kelly was spot on in my opinion. You could feel the angst, fear, emotion and intense drama in her performance. She was easy to listen to and brought the story and characters to life.

My Thoughts on A Little Getaway

As of now, this story will take the number one spot as my favorite Bonnie Traymore book. As a huge romance fan, I loved that there was not one, but many romance stories tied in here. I won’t give them all away because I feel like that is part of the enjoyment of the story. That listening and finding out who all is in love. I won’t say that I’m as big of a fan of each couple in the story, but they all have different levels of entertainment throughout, that’s for sure. Normally, I have found this author to be a highly entertaining and enjoyable pallet cleanser in between my romance novels, but this was certainly fun to have a psychological thriller and romance, all wrapped in one from her. I hope she will continue to write more of these because I would love to continue to listen to them. The narration never disappointed as it was by one of my favorites. She did a really good job with different points of view and the multiple character tones.

Mystery

This is a story about Morgan and Kyle and their weekend getaway. When Kyle disappears, things get interesting. There are a lot of twists and turns and you will be on the edge of your seat until the end. Meghan Kelly did an excellent job narrating this book.

A big triller

This is a triller mystery story that will grab you from the first world . Morgan Murphy, the heroine is wondering what is going on with her husband. She knows he’s hiding something . things change when her husband suddenly disappears, lMorgan is in search for answers that you could never anticipate.

You should for sure get this audio story

Great Suspenseful Mystery!

I love Bonnie Traymore’s books, and this was no exception!  This book starts with Morgan and Kyle Murphy on vacation to spice up their life.  Kyle goes missing and someone tries to kidnap Morgan and then everything gets very mysterious after that.  This story goes in a few different directions and has a lot of twists along the way.  I thought this was a great story and the narration by Meghan Kelly was fantastic!  She made the story very enjoyable with the way she voiced the characters and all the emotions she put into the story.

Edgy and fun!

Great twist and loved the ending. Two strong female leads plus a lively cast of characters. It felt fresh and original, not like everything else I've been reading. Very fun and highly recommended!

Wonderful!

What an interesting story to keep me guessing who the real villain was. Morgan and Kyle had gone to a beach to get away and when Morgan got out of the shower, she found Kyle was missing along with his car. She went down to the beach to go to the front office, then she is attacked. She got away and it was into twist and turns from there.
Meghan Kelly narrated it and she brought it to life. She is a professional and makes me think I am watching the story live.

A Little Getaway

This was good. The main character made some dumb decisions,but that is the story! Narration by Meghan Kelly was very good.I was given this book free for an honest review.

Entertaining thriller

This novel is told from the viewpoints of two primary characters—a reporter and the main suspect, Morgan. The plot keeps you on the edge of your seat from the start, making you continuously guess which of the key characters is the true villain. Though there are hints here and there, the mystery remains until the very end. I thought it was great that one of the primary suspects' points of view was presented in this tale. She must examine her actions and construct a public persona to avoid appearing guilty.

The narrator performed admirably. Every character has a distinct personality and voice. Listening to this book was a lot of fun.

Good story with interesting twists, but the narration lacked

It’s so hard to truly know if I enjoyed the story because the narration was annoying for me. However, the elements of a good plot seem to be there. A bit far fetched in a few places, but entertaining. I think I would have enjoyed this more if I read it on my own instead of listening.
