How do we say goodbye to a place? Eight-year-old Ellen has already experienced the loss of her aunt and uncle, and must now visit their home for the last time. To her surprise, an empty house can be full of rich memories. Ellen spends the day trying to find a trivial household object, but eventually forgets about her quest as recollections of her family become more and more vivid. This narrative addresses the often overlooked emotions that come with leaving a place that we've grown fond of.
