Publisher's Summary

Detective Lindsay Boxer fights to protect the streets of San Francisco from an international war criminal in the latest Women's Murder Club thriller.

When three female schoolteachers go missing in San Francisco, Detective Lindsay Boxer must unravel the mystery of their disappearance. But what starts as a missing person case quickly escalates to a troubling murder investigation.

As pressure at work mounts, Lindsay must rely on her husband, Joe, to support her at home. Yet Joe is pursuing a mysterious case himself, as a woman running from her past brings him terrifying information - the notorious war criminal from her Eastern European home country has appeared on the streets of San Francisco.

As Lindsay searches for the three missing women, a frightening new twist forces her and Joe's investigations to collide. His mystery informant has gone missing, and all four abducted women are in grave danger. As shocking revelations emerge, Lindsay and Joe find themselves caught up in an international crime operation unlike anything they've seen before.

With the help of her fierce and courageous friends in the Women's Murder Club, Lindsay and Joe fight to save their city from the corrupt clutches of a monster.

Boring

I think Patterson is running out of ideas with the Murder Club books as this one was boring, maybe he needs to concentrate on something else. There was no suspense, you already knew what was going to happen before it happened. There was just not enough happening in the book to keep you interested and could have been finished in one chapter.
Also, the narrator just sounded stupid, I lost concentration most of the time because she was so dull. Probably need to get a new narrator.

great book

I was actually really excited to start this book as I really want it to be but by this offer before but wasn't sure if you could read them as stand-alone but I found out that you can so in this but you've got two cases going on at the same time so our story starts with Anna who notices this man across the street to be the one who murdered her family and who did other things to her and why it's in the US she does not know as she is from a different country what I cannot spell so Joe who is an investigation person I think I forget he official title start looking into to petrovic who is the guy who murdered Anna family and his wife is investigating a disappearance of 3 teachers her name is Lindsay they find one of the teachers dead in a hotel now they need to find the other two this was a really interesting book usually I find it hard remember what's going on with both investigations as I usually don't like that sort of stuff but this one interested me and I assumed that their linked in some way from the beginning

Chillingly good!

I really liked this instalment of The Women's Murder Club. Enjoyed every minute of it. Patterson never disappoint! This one was so good I wanted to cry and kept holding my breathe afraid that Satovina would end up dead. It was a good change of scenery to be able to see how was Jo at his former workplace. I did missed the girls but did enjoyed to have a book focused on Jo. Can't wait to start next instalment!

mediocre at best

Have read all the Women's murder club book and this one is definitely lacking. None of the interaction of previous books. Sadly, James Patterson is churning the books out and we have quantity and not quality.

Quality decreasing

Maybe under the pressure to release the next book in the series (and all the other titles that seem to be released in the meantime) the quality and depth of the stories are decreasing.
The narrator was great as always

I was kept in anticipation with this book.
I just am wondering where Lindsay and Joes baby girl is now?? I have to think I have missed something along the way.
