A breathtaking crime drama

Wow! An exciting story led by one of the strongest female protagonist I've run across. Well written and edited with a good performance by the narrator. I hope to read more with this same lead character. I highly recommend this book!

good book

young cop who has to investigate a horrible murder no one thinks she is ready but she proves everyone wrong

Well done police procedural

Reads like a thriller movie script. And that's a good thing. Loved the female cop. Not a sour note. Never tries too hard. Just. good solid cop/homicide story. Well done.

Sensational book.

I always like Lee Goldberg novels. This one was probably the best. Nicole Zanarella narratives are fantastic. It got me close to Eve Ronin . Can't wait for the second book.

my only problem with this book is how the author explains things to death, it will say something like, it was a bright day. And then later she put on her shades bc the sun was out... there is a lot of that. but the story was good and interesting

Narrator clear and easy to understand. Loved the female strong willed main character and think you will too

Kept My Interest

Good premise. The author kept the plot moving and the characters consistent. I get tired of supposedly smart characters all of a sudden making stupid decisions just to add drama to the story. This author’s protagonist acted accordingly through the entire story. If anything, she was much smarter than the average bear.

A Good Murder Mystery

This is the first book I have read by this author. The murder solving by a unpopular female detective was the primary theme. I did like the twists and turns in the case I would read more books by this author.

I was expecting something different

I had read the Ian Ludlow books and was expecting something like that. Pretty soon it became clear this book is nothing like that! I was drawn in and definitely wanted to know what the twist was going to be - there had to be one. But at the end of this book I’m just feeling sad about the horrible things people do.

I like the heroine

she's a little too perfect maybe but also flawed, makes mistakes, has some issues.. I'm looking forward to another book with her..
