Excellent Police Procedural Mystery Thriller...

Yes, I have listened to Johnny Heller before and this performance as the others I've listened to is excellent.

Very very good police procedural mystery thriller. Basic story is teens are being killed and left in not too difficult to find places. They start out mimicking a crime and tragedy that took place the previous year but then seem to take a detour. It's not until the hero Matt Sinclair begins to put it all together that you become aware of the motive and the madness.
I was able to figure out the who almost as soon as the character was introduced but not the motivation until much later.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Enjoyable story great narrator. I was running out of series to listen to until I found the Matt Sinclair series, very entertaining!

A can’t put it down type of book either by reading or listening. This author will create a following I am sure of that. Know how to pull you in and keep you there. Expertly done!

Oak town Memories

I am a retired Oakland cop. Loved the storylines the the visit to the past.

Not sure why, but I had low expectations of this book and I shouldn't have. It was smart with a diverse mix of characters.
The crime/mystery is very interesting where an old case and new case come together. The bad guy is hard to detect so along with the characters, you are smartly weaved in and out of possibilities. It is a bit violent (but nothing like a Corbin or Moffina novel). Could do with less cliches like Sinclair having a failed marriage, trying to stay sober, trouble with bounderies/procedure... Enjoyed it took place in Oakland and all of the greater bay area. The book really caught the feel of the culture. I cannot wait to read the next installment. Also narrator was excellent.
