Mike Mignola's award-winning series Hellboy has earned fans all over the world, among them some of the most respected horror, fantasy, and mystery novelists in the field as well as some of Hollywood's most talented writers and directors. Now a who's who list of these writers are drawn together to tell their own tales of Hellboy, to play with the characters and worlds Mignola has created. As part of Dark Horse's celebration of Hellboy in 2004, Christopher Golden has brought together a stellar array of talents including filmmakers Frank Darabont and Hellboy movie director Guillermo del Toro and novelists Charles de Lint, Graham Joyce, and Sharyn McCrumb, as well as many others.

I loved the book and vocal performance. The cadence of the performer builds high levels tension and anticipation. I can make a clear picture of what Hellboy and friends experience as it is happening.

I liked all the stories. as always with anthologies some more than others. the narrator was very good. this narrator did justice to the stories and i could hear him at work and i work in a shop with big metal preases, hammers and other machines. i have found out that is a make or break thi g for me. so, if you like hellboy, anthologies, sci-fi / horror I recommend this collection.

great fun

These are just short stories with hellboy shoehorned in, sure some of them are told from his perspective but they’re not really strong or engaging. I’m a big fan and found this very underwhelming.

The stories kind of suck
