Publisher's Summary

Hey, hey, book lovers, take off those big thick glasses - this is Deadpool speaking! Sorry Marvel, somethin' happened to your copy guy. Anyway, this is my first prose novel, and they got this dude Stefan Petrucha to write it. He's good people. He's written novels and comics. But here's the thing: This book is about dogs. Dogs that turn into big nasty monsters. And then I gotta kill 'em. Thing is, I like killing people - the ones that deserve it, anyway - but I won't kill dogs. No way. So that's what we call a character dilemma. What - wait for the paperback? Who said that?! I'll gut you right now....

Same story re-imagined over and over and over

They do a good job of capturing Deadpool, but it's the same story... over and over and over.
Deadpool is suppose to capture a puppy that is going to turn into an unstoppable killing machine... Only there's like a dozen puppies. 1st time it was fun, 2ed time abit less fun... I am 3.5 hours in and he's still doing the same thing... over and over and over. You can't just say "Deadpool" and throw in some wackiness, it might work for a 30 page comic, but it's a 6 hour book you need to at least pretend to have a story line.

4th wall breaking

This self-aware, 4th-wall-breaking adventure is pure silliness - and very enjoyable it was too. A lot tamer in tone than the films and comics, probably to bring it in line with the rest of the Marvel novel line, the merc with the mouth still motored on regardless. Told from Deadpool's point of view, we get to see just what goes on in the thing he calls a brain. Amongst all his tangents and waffle, there is an actual plot here, which really feature second place to Deadpool's ramblings. It was fun though, even if the finale was a little bit daft.

Couldnt pass the hour mark

I love Deadpool. read all the comics but my god, this book does not translate well to audio. Really irritating sound effects and music often drowns out the narration. The narrator himself would be a good Deadpool voice actor but the internal monologues of the character derail the story. Sorry but this was poor. I really hope the Daredevil book isn't dramatised like this.
