The Fallen

De: C.N. Crawford

Narrado por: Danielle Cohen, William Macleod

Most days, I steal from ships to earn a living. Not glamorous, admittedly, but it's honest work. Okay, fine. It isn't honest either, but it means I get to eat.

Until one night, a sinfully sexy angel strides into my favorite dance hall and compels me to work for him. It isn't just work, though. He wants me to be his wife in Castle Hades. Apparently, his prophetic dreams say I'll help him become king.

Beautiful as he is, he's also a lethal tyrant. And I could be in danger. Luckily, I know how to fight back, how to weaken an angel: I must seduce him.

Now, this is a battle, and he’s my beautiful enemy. We are fighting with weapons of desire, and we're both at risk of losing ourselves in this war.

A slow start

This book took a while for me to get into the characters. Started off really slow but half way through I started investing more into the characters. By the end of the book I was fully engaged and intrigued by the story. It ended on a cliffhanger so I am downloading the next book to see where this story takes me. Hopefully this first book was building the story and characters and the next book will jump straight into the intriguing plot.

Amazing story lines

Overall: 3.75 I liked the story a lot but there was so much happening all at once that I kept having to replay scenes multiple times to make sure I was hearing right. Loved the ending I truly do think it saved this book from just getting a 3 star rating.

loved this

The series has started out strong! A slow burn that's actually hot. A refreshing plot! I really enjoyed this.
The only downfall- the male narrator- I could hear his saliva while speaking.
