This is a great resource tool for your wellness library. Dr. Lipman is the real deal. Although there are more than 10 reasons I would recommend this book; here is a short list:

1. You will feel emboldened to take control over your personal health and wellness.
2. You might look at some of the medications (and their side effects) you are taking through a different filter.
3. You will feel confident making changes at your own pace.
4. You will no longer believe that your slowing metabolism is making you gain weight..
5. You will find there are many myths you have believed that aren't healthful.
6. You will start to put more value in fresh air and sunshine.
7. You will find balance in this book - no rabid anti-medical sentiments.
8. You will likely start feeling better immediately by just making a few adjustments to your self-care.
9. You will find Dr. Lipman's years of experience legitimizes his assertions.

I really liked that he narrated his own book. although my husband and I could not help but giggle some over the pronunciations of certain words as opposed to American English. It just makes it connect so much more when the author is reading to you seems so much more personal. I listen to or read many many low carb or keto or paleo books and each one has a slightly different angle and I learn new things from them. He focused a lot on the gut and helpful supplements which I don't usually hear in my kind of books. I would go see him as a patient if he were in my city!

I loved this book! So much great info and it was presented in an interesting way- not just dry content. I feel like there is hope for me- maybe it’s not ‘over’! I totally disagree with reviewer who says Dr.Lipman is just pushing products. He mentioned once at the end of the book that he had products available- while also mentioning what you could use instead if you did not want to purchase. Also great resources included with book for a diet and exercise program. Highly recommend this book!
