These stories written in the 1980s vary in length from under 1000 to over 10,000 words. Some are set in historical times, others are contemporary, but all share to a larger or lesser degree a common focus as variations on themes of appearance and reality, identity and illusion, semblance and coincidence, duplication and duplicity.
