  • Her Shift: I Did a Simple Exercise… and It Changed What I Want From Life
    Mar 27 2026
Have you ever sat there thinking… what the hell am I actually meant to be doing with my life? Not in a dramatic way. Just that low-level, constant feeling of being a bit… off track. Busy, capable, doing all the things — but still not fully aligned. In this episode, I’m sharing a simple but honestly quite brutal mindset exercise I experienced at a yoga retreat that completely shifted how I see purpose, goals, and self-trust.What sounds like a basic journaling task turned into something much deeper — exposing where I was clinging, where I was avoiding, and what actually matters underneath all the noise.⸻✨ What You’ll Learn in This Episode:•Why most people feel stuck and unclear on their purpose•The powerful 12 goals exercise that forces clarity fast•Why letting go of goals is harder than setting them•How to identify your one core purpose (without overthinking it)•The unexpected way to use a “mentor” exercise to understand yourself better•Why self-love and self-trust are the foundation of everything (even if you hate that phrase)⸻🧠 The Exercise Breakdown:You’ll be guided through:1.Writing down 12 goals or desires (no filtering, no editing)2.Cutting the list down by removing what isn’t actually essential3.Choosing one core focus that reflects who you truly are4.Defining the traits of the person who would guide you — and realising… that’s who you’re becoming⸻💥 The Real Shift:This isn’t about becoming your “best self” or fixing your life overnight. It’s about getting honest.Because most of us don’t lack motivation —we’re just spread too thin across things that don’t actually matter to us.And when you strip it back?Clarity gets a lot simpler than you think.⸻🔥 If You’re Feeling:•Stuck or directionless•Overwhelmed with too many goals•Disconnected from yourself•Like you “should” know your purpose by nowThis episode will hit.⸻💬 Come and tell me…What was the ONE goal you couldn’t cross off?Battlefield Red Radio: The Hormone WarsThis is my private, unfiltered podcast for women surviving PMDD—no sugar-coating, just raw stories and survival tactics from someone who knows the battle firsthand. • Her Shift: I Don’t Know The Last Time I Washed My F****” !
    Mar 13 2026
What happens when you become everything for everyone else… and completely lose yourself? In this powerful and deeply honest conversation, Anna is joined by a local award winning hairdresser turned life coach Amelia Jackson who shares the raw story behind her personal transformation. From becoming a salon manager at just 19, to navigating marriage, two babies in two years during the COVID lockdowns, crippling postnatal depression, grief, and caring for a father with Alzheimer’s — this episode explores what happens when life piles on faster than you can process it.At her lowest point, she describes sitting at a routine smear test appointment and breaking down in tears, telling the doctor she couldn’t even remember the last time she’d washed herself. A moment that perfectly captures the invisible burnout so many women experience while caring for everyone else. What followed was a radical shift. She rebuilt her life, opened her own salon, stepped into wellness coaching, and began exploring manifestation, personal growth, and the courage it takes to reclaim your identity as a woman beyond motherhood and responsibility.Together, Anna and her guest Amelia talk honestly about:• postnatal depression and maternal burnout• losing yourself in motherhood and caregiving• grief, stress and emotional overload• the pressure women feel to keep everything together• manifestation and personal growth after breakdown• building a business after hitting rock bottom• why you can’t force people to step into their potentialThis is a conversation about the messy middle of transformation — the moment when you realise something in your life has to change. If you’ve ever felt exhausted, invisible, overwhelmed, or like the woman you used to be has disappeared, this episode will hit home.Because sometimes the shift doesn’t come from motivation. It comes from finally admitting you’re not okay.Follow Amelia @Amelia Rose Collectiveameliarosecollective.comCheck out her up & coming masterclassesThe Wholesale Hideaway🔑The RoomThis is not your average book club. • Her Shift: PMDD, Peri menopause & Adenomyosis: Why I’m Burnt Out and Stepping Back
    Feb 25 2026

After a quiet hiatus since early January, I’m finally sharing what has really been happening behind the scenes.

In this deeply honest episode of Her Shift, I open up about being diagnosed with adenomyosis, retiring from my long standing makeup career, and the layered hormonal storm of PMDD, perimenopause, chronic stress and burnout that has pushed me beyond functioning.

For years I have spoken about PMDD and trauma. But what happens when PMDD overlaps with perimenopause? What happens when chronic stress compounds hormonal sensitivity? And what happens when your body finally says no?

    This episode explores:

    • The symptoms and reality of adenomyosis

    • How PMDD changes during perimenopause

    • The impact of long term stress on women’s hormones

    • Why high functioning women crash hard

    • Burnout beyond productivity hacks

    • Grieving a business identity

    • Choosing health over performance

If you are navigating PMDD, perimenopause symptoms, heavy painful periods, chronic fatigue, emotional volatility, or feeling like you cannot keep pushing through anymore — you are not alone.

This conversation is for the women holding everything together while quietly falling apart.

It is not weakness. It is biology, trauma, pressure, and years of endurance colliding.

And sometimes stepping back is the most powerful shift you can make.

PMDD, perimenopause, adenomyosis, hormonal imbalance, chronic stress, women’s burnout, heavy periods, painful periods, hormone sensitivity, trauma and hormones, female burnout recovery.

  • Her Shift: If You’re Not Changing It, You’re Choosing It
    Jan 6 2026

In this episode of Her Shift, Anna unpacks the truth behind the quote “What we do not change, we choose.” Not in a motivational-poster way — but in a real, uncomfortable, grown-up way.

This is a deep dive into toxic goal setting, why January resolutions so often fail, and how staying stuck isn’t a lack of willpower — it’s usually avoidance dressed up as “reflection.” Anna explores how so many of us spend more energy listing what we don’t want — the job, the relationship, the body, the life — while refusing to take responsibility for building what we do want.

    You’ll hear why:

•Talking endlessly about what you hate can become a coping mechanism

•“Manifesting” without action is just procrastination with better branding

•Staying the same is still a choice — even when it feels passive

•January doesn’t need pressure, punishment, or reinvention — it needs honesty

This episode is for anyone who feels stuck in cycles of setting goals, abandoning them, and then blaming themselves — especially women navigating burnout, trauma recovery, PMDD, perimenopause, or emotional exhaustion.

No hustle culture. No vision boards you’ll ignore by February. Just grounded truth, self-responsibility without shame, and a cleaner way to approach change — starting now.

If something in your life keeps repeating, this episode will help you see why — and what choosing differently actually looks like.

  • Her Shift: Why Christmas Is NOT the Time to Ignore Your Health (Especially Hormones & PMDD)
    Dec 21 2025

In this pre-Christmas episode, Anna gets real about the health struggles that shaped her year — from hormonal chaos and PMDD symptoms to exhaustion, medical frustration, and the emotional toll of living in a body that won’t be ignored.

This isn’t a polished “wrap-up of the year” episode. It’s an honest conversation about what happens when your hormones, nervous system, and health issues collide with the pressure of Christmas — and why so many women convince themselves they’ll “deal with it in January.”

    Anna talks about:

•The impact of ongoing hormonal issues and PMDD

•Why Christmas often worsens symptoms instead of providing relief

•The dangerous myth of “just pushing through” for a few more weeks

•How guilt, obligation, and festive expectations stop women from listening to their bodies

•Why your health doesn’t pause for Christmas — and neither should your self-care

•What real self-care looks like during the holidays (spoiler: it’s not bubble baths or toxic positivity)

    If you’ve been telling yourself:

    “I’ll rest after Christmas”

“I just need to get through this bit”

“Everyone else is coping — why can’t I?”

    …this episode is for you.

This is a permission slip to stop abandoning yourself over the festive period. Your body is talking. Your hormones are talking. And listening now might be the most loving thing you do for yourself this Christmas.

✨ Gentle reminder: you don’t need to break down before you’re allowed to take care of yourself.

    Nov 28 2025

Is This PMDD or Perimenopause? The Overlap That’s Wrecking Women Right Now

If you’re over 35 and your moods, cycle and sanity suddenly feel… unpredictable, this episode is your lifeline.

I break down what happens when PMDD meets perimenopause — the symptoms, the confusion, the emotional fallout, and the identity-level shifts women aren’t warned about.

    We cover:

•The key differences between PMDD and perimenopause

•Why your symptoms might be getting worse after 40

•How trauma, stress and sensitivity magnify hormonal chaos

•Why doctors often misdiagnose this overlap

•What actually helps when everything feels “too much”

    Questions answered in this episode:

    – “Is this PMDD or perimenopause?”

    – “Why am I so angry?”

    – “Why does my cycle change every month?”

    – “Why do I feel like I’m losing myself?”

    – “Why is nobody talking about this?”

If the emotional chaos of midlife feels overwhelming — you’re not alone.

  • Her Shift: Is This PMS or PMDD? The Brutal Truth About the Difference.
    Nov 21 2025
If you’ve ever sat there thinking, “Is this PMS? Is it PMDD? Why does my brain turn into a crime scene every month?” — you’re not alone. This episode dives into the messy, blurry, very real space where PMS and PMDD overlap. If you’ve ever wondered, ‘Is this PMS, PMDD… or am I just losing the plot?’ — this episode is your wake-up call. We’re breaking down the real difference between PMS and PMDD, why they overlap far more than the internet admits, and why minimising women’s struggles helps absolutely no one.And yes — we’re going there:PMDD + personal accountability. When is PMDD a valid explanation for extreme behaviour… and when is it being used as a shield for emotional chaos, cruelty, or untreated trauma?Anna unpacks:•What actually differentiates PMS from PMDD (and why many women sit somewhere in the middle).•Why we shouldn’t minimise anyone’s experience, whether mild or severe — because suffering is suffering.•How trauma, CPTSD and past emotional neglect can intensify hormonal reactions — making PMS feel like PMDD and PMDD feel like the world ending.•The uncomfortable truth about “PMDD as diminished responsibility.”Anna shares her take on when PMDD genuinely dysregulates the nervous system, and when it’s used to excuse repeated, harmful or abusive behaviour.•Compassion without self-abandonment — how to honour your hormonal reality and uphold boundaries in relationships, parenting, and your sense of self.•Why self-awareness is the real power tool for any woman navigating a sensitive cycle, perimenopause, or trauma-linked monthly intensities. This is an honest, nuanced, no-shame conversation for women who want to understand their bodies, their minds, and their patterns — without falling into guilt, blame, or helplessness.🔑The RoomThis is not your average book club.
