Such a great story!

Relatable characters, excellent narration, contemporary romantic story. I rooted for and face palmed the main character in equal measure.

When Opposites Attract

What a delightful story of two opposites finding their happily ever after. Mac & Thomas have a unique meet-cute…three times! While Mac is reluctant to have a “serious” relationship (and yes her constantly saying this does become repetitive) Thomas is the one jumping in with both feet to create a relationship with Mac.
My only complaint is that the story is single POV, but that’s because I prefer to know what both main characters are thinking. I enjoyed the narrator’s performance of all the characters.

Mac & Thomas

This was an entertaining enemies-ish to lovers romance. The narration by Kelsey Navarro was wonderful and it was a quick read/listen. The build up between Thomas and Mac was really well done and I loved seeing them verbally spar and banter. It was pretty clear where things were headed, but it was still fun to see the tropes play out (like forced proximity, workplace, starchy/grumpy + sunshine, opposites attract, friends with benefits, etc). Unfortunatley, the third act break up really annoyed me (even though I knew it was going to happen) and I wish it had been left out all together. It would have been much more satisfying to have the characters actually talk and listen to each other like the adults they're supposed to be. The ending was cute though and I loved the little reveal at the very end. Overall, an enjoyable read, but not my favorite by Lauren Layne.

Hard to put down!

Another unexpected enjoyable book by this author. Sweet and still steamy and some humor mixed in.

A perfect fall romance. Grab your latte and a cozy blanket... this is the one!

I loved the characters and while I died of secondhand embarrassment a few times, it's worth pushing through. The ending is so wonderful :')
