When dungeon delvers and dinosaurs clash, who can survive?

Newborn Dungeon Cores must choose what entity they help contain, and that choice determines what monsters they are able to summon. After being executed for crimes forgotten in death, Tira is given the chance to make that choice. Tira chose Acekorah, the Primeval Terror, a being so dangerous few cores will risk trying to contain it.

The danger wasn’t important. Tira remembers dying. If containing Acekorah means Tira will face greater danger, that’s a risk worth taking, because the Primeval Terror walked the world long before the races of Man roamed the earth, and Cores bound to him are able to summon beings from beyond the veil of time.

Now, forged in the fires of Tira's wrath, the dinosaurs will walk the world anew.

Firstly, the narration of this book was amazing. It really could not have been better. As for the book itself, it is fun, funny, and thrilling. As with most of the books in this genre, the magic system was needlessly detailed for a book. I sometimes think most LitRPGs are written by failed game creators. However, mercifully, it is still easy enough to follow and the author doesn't drown us in stat spam, so well done there. As for the main plot, I found it well thought out and completely riveting at the end. If there are more books in the series, I'll be heading there now. I've grown to love the characters and can't wait to spend more time with them.

Exciting action always entertained throughout the the story. Characters have well developed personalities that make you sucked into the plot

Great performance and detail

...not for me. The reason dinosaurs are the dungeon mob is readily apparent. The story is put together nicely but I personally don't see dinosaurs in a dungeon. SBT does an excellent job with the narration and voice changes for each character.

Good story, but...

Starts out pretty slow but things ramp up as she summons more creatures and we get to meet the main adventurer cast characters. Very casual and chill reading. Only complaint is why the characters say "I'm oom" instead of saying out of mana. People type oom since it's shorter to type, not say. It's equivalent to saying "ttyl" during a conversation. It's really jarring to hear them use a gaming term when it's not shorter or easier to say in a real life situation.

Slow Start but Gets going

I needed an invigorating listen, and while this book definitely relied on some old dungeon core tropes to make it a dungeon core story, it breathed some amazing life into it!

hooray for dinos!

Tira life ends in a fiery act of defiance, but that isn’t the end of her story. She is reborn as a dungeon that can summon dinosaurs! She will need to grow strong enough to avenge death.

Wrath is a fantastic dungeon core book. I’m not going to spoil it, but the book’s plot hook and character twist are amazing! I am hoping that more dungeon core books sue this concept. Soundbooth does a great job narrating this book.

I started this yesterday morning and before I knew it, it was 2AM and I couldn't justify "waiting for the end of the chapter" to turn it off. I just had to quit mid-scene so I could get enough sleep to have at least minimal functionality at work today.

If you like dungeon core, slice of life type books you will like this one. It's a book that does use some stats as things progress, but far fewer instances of reading long stat sheets than I've noticed in similar books.

Great narration, fantastic characters that came to Life in my head and that I actually feel like I have an emotional investment in. On to book 2!!

Couldn't put it down.

Wonderful book, and perfect job on narration!
I will admit that I skipped over purchasing this book for a while because I'm not a big fan of dinosaur themed stuff, however, I shouldn't have waited. The pace, and feel of this book reminds me a lot of "The wandering inn" so, if you liked that book you will like this one too.
pros: excellent narration
decent pace of story
good time/cost ratio
creative use of theme
raptor mages
family friendly
Jeff does a French'ish accent!

cons: only because I feel nothing is perfect, the only con I can think of is that for me personally a little more adult humor would have been nice. However, I have added this to my kid's listening list because it is clean

"two words, raptor mages"

First, I love that the male and female narrators divided the work by male and female characters. I hate when narrators divide a book by POV, making a male and female voice for all characters. It just doesn't make sense.

For the story, it wasn't perfect for me, but it is one of the better dungeon core books I've tried. Maybe 3rd best. I definitely recommend it over most DC books.

Better than average Dungeon Core

This book was overall highly entertaining. The voice acting is wonderful. Annie as Tira is splendid. My favorite by far though is Jeff as Pierre. Listening to him makes me happy. The added sounds are fun. Though the sound used to make the cats’ noises are not my favorite.

I did have issues with some of the terminology as I’m not a big D&D aficionado but I do have enough RPG background that I could follow most of what was going on. The upgrade lists are the most confusing to me over all.

The lack of explaining the world/worlds also was a bit of an annoyance for me. It seemed like there were too many pieces of different genres meshed together in a less than cohesive way.

However the story line and the characters make up for the annoyances tenfold. This book makes you laugh… a lot. It pulls on the heart strings, gets you invested in the characters and seeing how they progress through the story. My 10 year old daughter ended up loving it as well and asked for the second book as soon as the first was over.

If your a mom of a child who loves dinosaurs don’t be surprised if you find yourself singing The Dinosaur Train song and being able to visualize the dinosaurs from watching all the episodes of that cartoon… though the descriptions are well done and if you have any Dino knowledge you should be able to picture them just fun.

Over all loved this book. It took a few chapters but it definitely grew on me. Very interested to see where this series goes.

Extremely entertaining!
