Superb! Nice ending!
Retired FBI agent Jeremy Winter, with the help of his FBI girlfriend and others, seeks to find the person who murdered his wife and their unborn daughter over a decade earlier. Book 3 in this excellent series by Tom Threadgill is at least as good as the earlier books. Narration by Drew Bott took some time to become accustomed to but it earns 5 stars.

Very well written, and author doesn't feel the need to include unnecessary profanity or sexual situations. Thrilled to find a good murder plot and investigative series that doesn't offend, and has gotten more than one audible exclamation of shock from me when I "didn't see that coming".

thriller/mysteries without the raunch
It seems that is difficult to be a mystery author without being debauched. Mr. Threadgill, however, accomplishes the task without being boring or being trite. In fact, it would seem that vulgarity and unbridled sexuality are oft repeated aspects of the modern detective novel. It is a commendable departure for an author to attempt a realistic portrayal without the slime.
Threadgill is in the company of Tim Downes and Charles Martin in providing realistic characters in dark situations without resorting to an X-rated characature. More importantly the main character carries the hope of redemption. Good job Tom Threadgill.

Good book. narrator not so much.
it was hard for me to really "get into" this audiobook. the book itself was a good story. but the narrator made me feel I was listening to a childrens book. His tone for the descriptive parts were good, but almost all the character voices were like listening to someone reading to a child.
