Addison and Tyler did phenomenal job bringing Kora and Jace, Ares and Wolfe to life!

I love this book!!

I read this book, and knew I would love it even more in an audiobook, and I wasn't wrong!!

The narrators did such an amazing job bringing these characters to life, and i love that it's dual narration.

When S Massery said she was trying a new genre with Thief, I was so excited! And she blew me away!! This is an amazing reverse harem, and I cant wait for more!!

This book is gonna take you on a wild ride, and you are gonna be invested in this story!

the narrators did an amazing job. the brought the characters to live. Kora journey through sterling falls and her relationship with Aries, Apollo and Hades is one for the books and that cliffhanger omg.

So much happened in this book! Kora accidentally witnesses an intentional taking of life. In punishment, powerful erase her life. No job, no scholarship, no money…. Unless she makes a deal with some shady people to survive.

I cannot wait to see where this story leads. I’ve heard the spice levels go into overdrive as the series continues 🥵🥵

Isn’t this cover incredible? I was curious about the series before, but as soon as S. Massery released these beauties, I knew I had to have them!

DUET narration is my favorite and this audio so well done! 😍

UNIQUE • FRESH • RIVETING • EPIC

I loved S. Massery’s world-building in this spectacularly gripping listen and the duet-style various POV narration by Addison and Tyler made each well-colored gripping scene come alive. I loved the suspense that ran through every single chapter as villains stepped in and out of the action and caused chaos, mischief and threatened death and destruction. I loved the slow-burn between all the carefully honed characters and I REALLY loved the sexual tension, chemistry and sexual possibilities that heated, flared and oozed with each fiery encounter between Kora and her three men. I loved the mystery, drama and continual twists that hit hard in this masterfully written book. In fact, I eagerly went straight into Book 2 at 1 something a.m. (I didn’t dare look at the clock 🤭🤫) after the CLIFFHANGER of this one!! But, this is a four book deal and the next must-have book has revelations and exciting drama and a BRUTAL cliffhanger too.. I mean I wanted to throw something at the wall 🤯😩😢. And now I’m waiting on the edge of my seat absolutely d e s p e r a t e for the next shocking instalment from this riveting world.. as war comes to the streets and gangs of Stirling Falls.

Worth a credit? Definitely. It’s a 4 credit deal really.. and, if you’re tempted now, then yes just go ahead and get them all - you won’t regret it.

OBSESSED!

This book is just as good, if not better, the second time around! There were a few things I had forgotten about, so I’m glad I got the chance to listen before I read Fighter.
With the performance, the only thing I have a complaint about is the male voice. In my head, he isn’t what the guys sound like because he sounds too old but it’s not rough enough in my opinion. But other than that I loved it!
The story is amazing and it’s shocking that this book is S Massery’s first reverse harem because it’s awesome! I’ll forever say it kind of had Madison Kate vibes which I think is FANTASTIC because that series was bomb!
I can’t wait to read/listen more to this series!

Decent story, narrators need more versatility

I enjoyed the plot unfolding. The experience would be much improved if all of the male characters didn't sound identical. The female characters aren't much more varied, but slightly better. This would've been infinitely better if performed by someone like Lucas Webley, Jason Clarke, or Shane East.

Captivating!

I read it and loved it! The audiobook version is amazing! This is the first book in the Sterling Falls series, a Dark College/New-Adult Reverse Harem Romance. Kora and the Gods Ares (Wolfe), Apollo, and Hades (Jace) are intriguing and amazing characters. Kora is strong, and determined. The Gods run the Olympus, an exclusive fight club. They are protective, powerful, and enigmatic. Their story is steamy, intricate, and enthralling. The storyline is entertaining, dark, and suspenseful, filled with danger, mystery, and twists and turns. The world building is original, and mesmerizing! This is a fantastic first book in the series, and I am looking forward to listening to Fighter, the next book in the series. tyler Darby and Addison Barnes did a great job with the narration. I enjoyed it. Author S. Massery never disappoints. I highly recommend it!

Interesting

I’m not quite sure how to feel about the book yet. I am not jumping to start book two as I need a little break from the narrators. I’ll get to that in a bit.

First the story. As a whole, the characters are all well defined and well written, even though the main female character, Kora, really annoys me. I’m not sure if it is the narrator’s take on her that has me annoyed or her character. I know she has to go through growth and she starts weak, which is not surprising, given her history, but she is a fighter. But the way she comes through on audio just sounds so weak and pretentious at times. So much so that it is not very clear why the guys are drawn to her, other than that she’s beautiful. I wish the author would have given us a bit more interaction/reasoning before what felt like sudden attractions and getting physical.

That said, the story is a good one, some stuff doesn't make sense as far as any sane person wouldn't make the choices presented in the book, but hey, it's a fiction, and we need those bad choices to give us a story! The story development is an interesting one and the author is a good writer. It does keep you interested and wanting to know more.

The guys are pretty distinct so far but we only have a little bit of who they are right now. There are 4 books to get to know everyone better. I am looking forward to getting to know all the main characters more.

This is my first RH book and I love that there’s no gratuitous bad language or sex. Don’t get me wrong, there are steamy sex scenes, but the main focus is on the story, which is awesome. I tried another RH book that I had to return after 3 chapters. All they can talk about are how their sex organs are reacting to each other. This book, the story is the main focus and the relationships makes sense as part of the story.

The narration. I might be in the minority because the female narrator’s take on Kora just annoys me. The wobbly voice in the first half of the book and her take on the fear or more intense scenes. Her voice was flat for those. She doesn’t have a lot of distinct female voices but at least I can tell them apart enough. And yes, I know the wobbly voice conveys Kora’s nerves and lack of self confidence but it just was hard for me to listen to. And the narrator makes everything flat when in adrenaline pumping situations....

The male narrator’s voice is very sexy, BUT! I had a really hard time telling the difference between the 3 main guys a lot of the times! Especially when they’re all talking together! Then there’s the production issue, a lot of times, I had to rewind and turn the volume way up to hear what the guys are saying!

Overall, narration is just a 2.5 for me.

The book ends on a cliff hanger and normally, I would jump straight into the second book but I just can’t. I need a break from her voice and the. I can get into the second book. Upside is I won’t have to wait that long for the 3rd and 4th since I’ll likely need a break from each given they’re likely all the same female narrator.

Dark, explosive and completely captivating

Thief is a gripping story bound to keep you on the edge of your seat.

With a special intoxicating charm powered by the balance of myth and truth, alongside exquisitely crafted characters and an edgy and intense plotline, this adrenaline filled romance gave me everything I could possibly need and more.

Giving an intense and sinister undertone and full of twists and secrets, I am so not okay with the cliffhanger ending and NEED the rest of this story RIGHT NOW.
