As the Emperor marshals his armies to reclaim the galaxy for the glory of mankind, one by one his Space Marine Legions are reunited with their missing primarchs. The XVIII Legion are still waiting to find their true identity, unaware their own lord has been found. Love the Salamanders
I love the Salamanders, I love how GW has made such a lovable contradiction like the XVIII legion, horrifying to the average citizen until you see them laying their lives on the line to keep you safe. This... origin story, for want of a better term, was everything I expected it to be.

Good book with great narration!
Jonathan Keeble does this book a wonder by narrating voices with different accents, he presents each character with depth and feeling as if we were in the story ourselves.
The story itself seems a tad bit lacking in background and depth, but for its length is a great feature packed with action to add more flavor to the deserving salamanders legion.

Just perfect!
How could it not be perfect? Vulcan bringing the 18th together for the first time? Keeble was the reason I chose this book and I wasn't disappointed. I wish he could re-record some other books. Some voices aren't suited for 40k but Keeble is a 40k master. A good book to start with if you're going to follow the story of Vulcan and the 18th.
