Fear grips one in this masterful tale!
Guy Haley's artistic style of writing delights the senses and sparks the mind! I feel like I'm in an alley or gazing upon Konrad as the lines play into my ear. Jonathan Keeble's voice is a dark shade perfect for this tale. I am overjoyed at one of my absolute FAVORITE characters in the 30k/40k was given life by these 2. Thank you so for this gift.

Conrad Curze explained
Finally you get an explanation for Conrad's odd behavior. You get a great insight into the workings of the legion and why it acts the way it does later in the Heresy.
I have never liked the Night Lords or Curze himself. They have always felt to one-dimensional and cliché of a Russian bad guy. This book explains it all. One of Harleys absolute top titles (and I like all of them).

Great insight
Very enjoyable getting a close look into Konrad as a person rather than a plot device. He's a very interesting character, and Keeble's performance made for a wonderful six hours.

A chilling look at the fractured mind of Curze.
Seeing a primarch cry genuinely puts the suffering of Konrad into full view. Amazing story, only wish we had more
