Even though a physical relationship with Brennan was supposed to be just that, Memphis finds himself unable to refuse his young lover's request to help put a stop to the threat against Tristan. Even knowing full well that Brennan's heart lies with the man he claims is nothing more than a friend, Memphis accepts the challenge of ensuring Tristan's safety.

But when the quiet music student stops being a "job" and starts being something much more, Memphis is torn between his growing feelings for both young men and the fear that he'll be facing an even greater betrayal that he'll never be able to come back from.

Except none of that matters when the threat that Memphis never saw coming puts Brennan and Tristan in the crosshairs....

This was my first MMM book and I loved it. I was unsure of how the three together would work but Sloane pulled it off beautifully.

And Michael Pauly is slowing winning me over on narration...

Hard story to listen to

This was rough one. Multiple trigger warnings. A graphic, detailed scene that gutted me. But beautiful men with tortured pasts whose love story is worth reading.

Another HIT in The Protectors!!

Sloane Kennedy nails another book in this deliciously tawdry series. From great highs, to deep lows, the saga continues. Thanks to Michael Dean, as always, my favorite narrator melded beautifully with one of my favorite authors!!

HIV facts

I will try to update this after I finish listening to it. HIV meds & advisements have changed a bit in the last 6 years. Undetectable means untransmitable now. There are much fewer "blips" nowadays & most meds are 1 or 2 pills once a day now & not near as sensitive to exact timing as long as it is relatively close to the same each day. The legal protections are also much stronger now for people who are unwilling "outed" for their positive status, as well as many states decriminalizing failure to disclose. Everyone's sexual health is their own responsibility & most of the exposures & contraction of HIV ore with partners who do not know their own status!

Good story

Overall i loved the story. Always loved the narrator. Book was a little heavy on the sex scenes... But still loved it
