a very enjoyable book

I like it the story the characters the pacing and the ending I love the adventure well done

Epic journey!

I love this story! The main character is full of personality. The plot keeps you questioning. The new travel-mates are all interesting and unique. Great job Louisa for creating such a fun story, and to Michael for giving the written words depth and personality!

very entertaining

I really enjoyed this book. the narration was excellent! all the character voices just it was so well done. a tad disappointed by the fact that the author felt the need to have a non-binary they them character, because I find it annoying to listen to that, but I overlooked it because the story was really exceptional and despite it I really do like Luisa Masters works. the whole non-binary thing was unnecessary and ridiculous to the story. but you still get five stars because it was a pleasure to listen to and the story was really well done.

Engaging standalone fantasy with snarky MMC

I love the main character, Talon, and how he is voiced. He’s so delightfully snarky. The world building is good, and the characters are distinct. The story has heart.

There’s a MM romance that’s important to the plot, but it isn’t dwelt on. No steam and no spice.

The denouement happened very quickly, as if the author just decided to be done. My main complaint is how the other characters are voiced. The accents were odd choices and not consistent.
Although it’s a different world, it’s strange to give an aristocrat the accent of an English farmer.

Brilliant, Witty, and uproarious hilarious

I love everything about this story. The world building is phenomenal. The mc is snark personified. The story is tightly written with masterful word-smithing. GET IT NOW!!

Talon is a mage, and is tasked with a quest to find the champion of the ‘Stone of Creation’ to save the people from zombies, with the help of his twin Tia a dragon rider and Healer Jaimin, they collect others for their quest. As they try to work out how to find the champion, tragedy occurs and one of them dies. All isn’t lost and they do figure it all out.

I laughed and snickered over the characters.
I really loved this book, even though it made me ugly cry.


The audio is just as awesome as the ebook, I loved every second of listening to it.

Fantastic

Michael Lesley did a fantastic job bringing this to life! While I very much enjoyed reading the book, his voice talent made it incredibly good and thoroughly enjoyable to listen to. While I believe this is intended as a standalone, I can’t say I’d mind one bit if the author eventually allows us to return to this universe and wonderful cast of characters. Here’s hoping🤞

Great Magical Story

A motley crew that thwarts the enemy. Including sweet, cuddly, deep, sarcastic and motivated characters. Great specifics, world, history and story. Enjoyed it. Very original. Always appreciate Louisa Master’s books.

this book was excellent. it was an adventure, had magic and dragons and a little romance thrown in. I loved all the characters everyone was vital. and Lesley did excellent at reading the story bringing it all alive!!

Excellent story

I purchased this because I love the author, but then realized the length was much longer than I normally commit to. I finally began the book and could not put it down. What a great story with interesting characters. I loved it!!
