Well worth looking at

This audiobook is well worth looking at - they give an insight into the philosopher and their works in a short clear way and point you towards further reading/listening. Loved it, made me feel like I chose the right field to study. Goes in-depth into each theory.

I wholeheartedly recommend it

This is some of the best written early modern philosophy I have read. Berkeley's radical immaterialism may not have been popular in his day, but he really did influence thinkers. More than anything else, Berkeley writes clearly and persuasively, something I cannot say for many of his contemporaries. In general, I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone interested in philosophy, particularly in metaphysics and epistemology.

Great information learned

This book offers great information about Berkeley's Refutation of Foundationalism and Intentionalism and Foundationalism. With this guide, I have learned lots of things that I do not before. Worth the listen.

Simple and clear

The writing is clear, the philosophy is simple, and their epistemological system is completely summarized. Berkeley is no exception. He sets out to rid the world of abstractions, and abstract ideas, especially Platonic forms. Berkeley gives every materialist, in his time, hitherto, a run for their money.

Liked it

Berkeley's probably the most interesting of the early modern philosophers in terms of his ideas not really being at all close to how we look at the world today. I would recommend it if you're trying to get into philosophy without getting bogged down in jargon and overly academic language.

Incredibly in-depth

This work is an incredibly in-depth look at idealism. I would say it even rivals and perhaps surpasses the works of Descartes to some degree, though it seems to borrow considerably from that foundation. With that being said, I believe it pales in comparison, with regard to enlightenment, but still a worthy read,

Wonderful book

Well-written, clear, and informed, they have a breezy wit about them. I find it hard to stop listening.

Berkeley’s philosophy denies the existence of matter. According to his work, there is no material world, only our own experience. So when you don’t see something, it isn’t there. Then how does the world persist? Because it is supported by the continuous perception of an all-seeing God.

Berkeley’s ideas appear to take empiricism to a ludicrous extreme. But is this quite so absurd as it seems? We are frequently forced to abandon common sense and the obvious in order to progress beyond the immediate muddle of everyday existence towards what we consider to be the truths of science.

A really fascinating overview of Berkeley's Refutation of Foundationalism and Intentionalism and Foundationalism. If you are looking for a detailed guide to know about the Two contributions to an Anti-Foundationalist Theory of Knowledge, then get this book.

It is very in-depth and interesting

It is very in-depth and interesting. Gained info on what intentionalism and foundationalism are. Antifoundationalism is the position of many philosophers. An antifoundationalist believes that life is defined by personal experiences. Therefore a person's view of life is an "ongoing self-corrective process" in which "knowledge changes with time." Overall, I am thoroughly enjoying it!

Berkeley's idealism started a revolution in philosophy. Regardless if you are an amateur, a philosophy major, or a Berkeley scholar, this fine collection of Berkeley's complete works and relevant excerpts has all that is needed to study his philosophical thought.

Recommended

Among other books I have read and listen to, this is probably one of the most eccentric theories in all of philosophy. Initially, it seems completely implausible, but Berkeley's genius is such that an idea with apparently little to recommend it becomes a live option by the end of the book. The genius of the argument is in its simplicity; it could be expressed in probably a page or two of prose at the most. Thus, much of the book is dealing with the rebuttal of potential criticism.
