Acerca de esta escucha
Does something invisible seem to be holding you back?
Is the typical advice to "just let it go and move on" or "it’s in the past, so just forget about it" unhelpful?
Want to stop feeling as if you’re a prisoner in your own mind and body, and break through into happiness and joy?
Much of what we previously thought about trauma is simply wrong. It’s not a “mental” problem as we previously thought.
This book provides five concepts that will turn your previous understanding of trauma upside down and inside out, leading you to the breakthroughs you’ve been wanting.
You’ll uncover:
- How trauma really develops
- Why trauma is a tangible thing and not only an idea in your mind
- How to resolve chronic physical symptoms like back aches, irritable bowl, joint aches, and many more
- The type of trauma that goes unrecognized most of the time, and what to do about it
- Your body’s natural built-in trauma healing mechanism
- The necessary resources to begin healing your trauma today
Most books on this subject are long and arduous. This audiobook is a concise, power-packed resource to get you or a loved one on the right track.
It’s time to gain a new, helpful perspective on trauma instead of the old, unhelpful perspective, so scroll back up and buy now.

Codependency has kept you stuck. For codependents, happiness is fleeting. It's there one moment, gone the next. Even when you try so hard to do the right thing and treat people well, stable happiness still evades you. Why is this? If you're codependent, you may have difficulty standing up for yourself and speaking your truth. You may believe that you're responsible for ensuring others don't feel emotional pain in their lives.

Negative thinking—it seems to have no end. The question is, can anything be done about it? Negative thinking is a self-perpetuating mechanism. Negative thinking fuels more negative thinking, which in turn fuels even more. Around and around it goes, never losing steam or momentum. All the while, you’re utterly fatigued and exhausted. Ten years can go by, and the mind-numbing cycle still will not have stopped. Because it’s self-sustaining, negative thinking only grows stronger with each passing month, year, and decade. Can it be stopped?

Being in a relationship without knowing how to share your feelings and receive your partner’s feelings in useful ways is like jumping into a pool without knowing how to swim. You can flail around all you want, but it’s not going to keep you afloat for very long—you need to be able to move in any direction at will. Like swimming, knowing how to share your feelings and respond to your partner's feelings will move your relationship in the direction you want: toward more intimacy, closeness, connection, and trust.

In Stop Overthinking Your Relationship, certified couples therapist Alicia Muñoz draws from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness to offer an effective, four-step approach to reduce rumination and change negative thinking patterns.

With a mental illness that’s so powerful yet so mysterious, is there any hope? One day, I stumbled upon what I now call the Emotional Discharge Method. Though I discovered it at no credit to myself, it’s what eventually led to a shedding away of depression. What was left when the depression had shed off? A completely new outlook on life....

Talk to Me like I'm Someone You Love is a brilliant interactive relationship tool that can help couples stop arguing and begin healing. This revised edition features two new sections - one on making love and another on deepening trust - containing more than 25 new "flash cards for real life", statements that hold the power to express what we wish we could say to the person we love but for which we can't find either the right words or the right tone in which to say them.

In a world that teaches us to cling to what we love at all costs, there is an undeniable art to moving on - and it's one that we are constantly relearning. In this series of honest and poignant essays, Heidi Priebe explores the harsh reality of what it means to let go of the people and situations we love most - often before we are ready to - and how to embrace what comes next.

Have you ever wondered "Why did I do that?" or "Why can't I just control my behavior?" Others may judge our reactions and think, "What's wrong with that person?" When questioning our emotions, it's easy to place the blame on ourselves; holding ourselves and those around us to an impossible standard. It's time we started asking a different question. Through deeply personal conversations, Oprah Winfrey and renowned brain and trauma expert Dr. Bruce Perry offer a groundbreaking and profound shift from asking “What’s wrong with you?” to “What happened to you?”

Concise and enlightening.
This is a short 'Cliff Notes' version of the concept of how we carry trauma in our body. I got this short pamphlet audible version with eyes wide open, meaning I knew that this was a very condensed narrative of the subject. I'm not disappointed for the length. What I am thrilled about is that the author has included all the citations on his website. I'll be going there next. Hopefully, the website works and I'll be satisfied, if not I'll be back to edit this.
