Resumen del Editor

This Christian healing audiobook delves into the negative and downright devastating events that occur in our lives that break our faithful hearts and trample our spirits, but it won’t be man-made wisdom pellets being handed out here. This is a Christian journey to find God in the midst of our sorrow.

We will take a walk in the shoes of Job, a man who suffered devastating losses simultaneously but never once stopped giving God praise and glory. We will look at why sometimes we don’t understand God in the midst of our tribulations but how to trust him anyway. We will explore what the Bible says about how to deal with emotions, recognizing the toxic people in our lives and how to show them the exit sign, finding freedom by letting go of past hurt and disappointment and discovering how to grow through and from your pain.

I have been through my share of disappointments and devastations, but I wouldn’t have come out on the other side without a faithful father to see me through. He has shown me his promises that continually prove his love and divine will, and he has shown me how to find my purpose in pain. He wants you to find his promises and his purpose for your life, too.

When standing on the other end of the most difficult times in our lives, you can be sure God will use those experiences as teachable moments somewhere down the road. The lessons that each of us learns might not be the same, but God will often give insight on how a particular circumstance in our past is helping to shape our future and how it might help shape someone else’s, as well.

There is great power in testimony, so if we can share the testimony of how God transformed our lives despite walking through dark and challenging times, it could inspire or give hope to someone else who is still in the thick of their hardship. Even though my losses and tragedies were a time when my faith suffered the most, I can look back now to see God’s faithfulness never wavered.

Yes, there is Freedom from toxic relationships!

I wish I had this book long ago as I discovered my “Jerry” and severed toxic family members. Scriptural guidance keeps condemnation away. This title gives you the tools to identify toxic people and what to do about them. I am grateful to have received this book in exchange for my unbiased review! Great scriptural truth and wisdom here!

Deeply Moving Message of Healing with Faith

Toxic Life: The Power of Living Forward and Letting Go of Difficult People and Relationships Through Christian Living is written by Luke Gregory. This is an excellent Christian self-help and self-healing audiobook that will help the listener to connect with their faith to persevere through the most trying of times much like Job. Mr. Gregory has written an excellent moving audiobook that can help many people if you are willing to take the chance and open yourself up to Gods will.

The narration for this audiobook is provided by Scott R. Smith. Mr. Smith has the perfect voice for this audiobook. He takes the listener from the very first chapter with his engaging voice and brings a sense of the richness of this powerful and moving Christian Healing book. The production quality of this audiobook is also the highest quality. I heard no problems during the entire performance. There were not any detectable flaws that I was able to hear during the entire performance such as loops, breaks, or buzzing. The production was crisp and clear. Lucian Grigore delivered an excellent audiobook production. I highly recommend this audiobook. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Toxic Life

Reading this book couldn't have come at a more perfect time - praise Yehovah! It is very well done from a biblical point of view which is what I was looking for. I've been going through a very difficult time in my marriage and it has helped me get through some confusing thoughts as well as remind me about some biblical passages that I'd forgotten about and therefore has had a grounding effect on some of my thoughts and feelings and put them into perspective. Thank you for doing such wonderful work.

An interesting listen

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

From a testimonial perspective, this is a great book. I think the reasoning the author provides is sound. As someone who did this a few years ago myself, a lot of what the author/narrator talks about resonated on a fairly deep level. That said, the advice is more "just do it, you'll feel better once you do" than advice on HOW to go about doing it. Like I said, this book really resonated with me, but I believe that is more because I've already seperated myself from toxic family members. If you are struggling to deal with the ties of blood relations, even though they do toxic things that are harmful to you, this book provides some great thoughts that I think could help bolster your courage to do what is right for you. After all, a toxic relationship is a toxic relationship. Regardless of how you are related to that person, it doesn't make them a good person, or mean that they aren't harmful to you. Once you realize that on an emotional level (and possibly a spiritual level too), you will be much more happy once you cut those ties. Believe me, I know this to be true from my own experience.

Admonitions for Christian Trials & Tribulation

This book was refreshing. The author shared some about personal losses and the struggles accompanying them. He explained our command regarding "casting" our cares on our Lord Jesus. He spoke of relationships that harm and negatively effect our lives and our need to understand and to forsake them.

He spoke of Job and his response to his losses. And referred to many examples from Scripture as well as how Jesus handled people. I found the author genuine and he presented a balanced approach on ways to handle Christian trials and tribulations.

The single disappointment was the author does not know the King James Bible is the pure, preserved word of God for English speaking people hence using a corrupt translation. An example is the author used the word "gossip" and this word is not found in the King James Bible. Its meaning is one who goes about talking too much and tattletales. The word God uses is "whisperer" and "backbiter." Both clearly meaning what they say, exactly. We should never say something about another that cannot be spoken openly. A whisperer is one who tells secrets. A backbiter is someone that slanders a person or speaks ill of the absent leaving the person being bitten no opportunity to defend themselves or refute the slanders being told. These clearly have different meanings and this is only one example of the many I found to be off a bit because of the corrupt Bible he uses.

There is blood of the martyred on the King James Bible and God's spiritual fingerprints are found all over His wonderful word.

Psalms 12:6-7 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. {7} Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

Psalms 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

Most do not understand that every "new translation" must be changed at least 10% in order to be granted a copy write. In addition to this, the manuscripts used are called the Alexandrian texts. They are not protected as the King James Bible is protected by Britain. The King James Bible cannot be corrupted because of this protection. The manuscripts are called the majority texts and are from Antioch. The line includes the Bishop's Bible, Luther's Bible and many more shown on the link below.
