Life-changing!

An extraordinary book, so simple and so powerful. I loved the author’s narration and have already returned to listen to some sections again. I know I will return to this book for years, as I can already feel the positive impact on my life. I see my relationships changing and deepening. Fantastic book. Such great material which will change how I engage with people in my life and with my own thinking. Distracting errors in editing the recording though. Reader often repeats herself.

I enjoyed this overall.

The language is sometimes overly flowery and drawn out. I struggled to read the book but the audio book was more manageable.

The author tries to formalize a number of good and constructive ideas into a system she calls the Thinking Environment. There are some good lessons to be had and I personally found myself implementing some of it in my own meetings in a less formal fashion.

Often the author goes way overboard in my opinion in terms of the merits of this system. It's almost framed as the cure to all ills. Personally speaking I feel this detracts from something that taken with a bit more realism is clearly a good and beneficial approach in a variety of situations.

I found myself struggling to persist through some sections of the book but I persisted as there are good lessons to be learned. I'm happy I did. But it didn't need to be so tedious.

Long overdue

This book was so captivating that the time listening went by too quickly. I wish it had continued. The storytelling is so beautiful. The practical tactics can be applied to every part of our lives. The key now is to do it.

What a monumentally profound yet simple process to unlock the human mind from its blocks.

Even though this was written years ago it us still relevant today. Truly something that will drive positive change throughout an organization.

Absolutely worth a listen!

Moved me deeply. I will now read it again. So simple and so deeply astute. All we most care about, the people and work we care most deeply for will benefit from learning these tools, embodying or beginning to embody even one aspect of these keen observations which transform organizations, families, marriages and ourselves simply by revealing what gifts and clear Knowing are already within and set free by these principles. By far the best book this year!!!

I love the way that Nancy narrates this and the way that it is so simple and so powerful. this is one of the most powerful books that I've ever read about coaching and support and love and families.
