Same old, same old.

Reacher does what Reacher does. Stumbles into a simple problem that ends up being the tip of a convoluted iceberg.
Once again Reacher ends up being a cross between McGivver and Edge (A man alone). Able to distill the meaning of life from the bend in a blade of grass to indulging his psychopathic need to kill without pause or regret.

With Reachers ‘wandering’ years now well established, I would like to see another book set in his formative years. West Point being top of my list.

In short a good, if not formulaic, yarn. Not Lee’s best work, not his worst.

Good Reacher

wondered how Lee writing with his brother would be. it's fine. The formula plats out satisfyingly with all the bells and whistles. subject nicely topical and entertaining

First audible book and I enjoyed it very much. Hope to do it again, soon.

Pretty good, definitely better than expected

I've read all the Reacher books and put off listening to this one based on all the bad reviews. It's really not bad at all, definitely better than a few of the older stories. I think Reacher was exactly like he usually was, and the story was as well plotted as all the other books - which is not saying it's amazing, just the same. I think Andrew Child did a good job of keeping the series going and hope he continues. The next one - on his own - will be the test I guess. The people that complained the story was not in keeping with Reacher's low tech knowledge and approach clearly haven't read the book. He's the same old luddite he ever was.

Arthur's

I don't know why but the book did not have the same feel to the stories that I've listen to on other riches books and I've listened to quite a few. I'm side as say but this kind of like watching Tom Cruise play Jack reach it the storys good but crows was always the wrong choice this book have that kind of feel to me and I've loved all the others so maybe it's just me you need to listen for yourself but I think the Arthur's for the story.

Disappointed

Normally a big Lee Child fan but this is his worst book. Struggled to finish.

not up to standard

it was fine, but forgettable. didn't feel like reacher. seemed like a made for tv movie.

Not Reacher

I felt sorry for Jeff Harding, trying so hard to give us the Reacher we all know and love. He did a great job considering what he had to work with. I purchased this book in good faith that at least some of the, story would reflect the same character as in the rest of the series. I struggled to finished it, The storyline was hard to follow and the thrill level was zero, The Reacher character had been replaced by a cardboard cutout. I'm always ready to give a book a chance and I won't ask for a refund. Will I buy another book from these authors after buying every one in the Jack Reacher series....no.

Reacher Bummer

In the words of Lee Child...’Reacher said nothing. That’s for damn sure’. This book has no soul.
