A Few Twists
3.75 stars to be fair for The Secrets We Share which is more of a good little domestic mystery rather than a thriller. I didn't find it edge of the seat suspenseful, either, but it was good. There are a few twists but I wouldn't call any of it shocking especially the ending. I think my biggest issue was with the characters. It started off with the dad's suicide/murder and that propels the entire story and keeps you wanting to know what actually happened. But I didn't find the mother's story believable at all and the sisters relationship was practically non existent- they just did not seem like true sisters. A lot of the police work seemed a bit far fetched as well but, hey, I only know what I know about police protocol from Law and Order! I did finish it in just about a day so it was compulsive but I think the reviews that call it "thrilling" might be overdoing it a tad. Overall it was a good mystery and kept me engaged. Worth a credit if not worth all the raving reviews.
