A party gone horribly, horribly wrong.

I expected nothing less from Heather, and I wasn't disappointed. Typical small town, everyone having something to hide. Well-written and well performed, though Brittany takes up the bulk of narrating duties.

loved the book from chapter 1!! the main narrator did an excellent job. my only complaint, is the secondary narrator who did the voice of mellie needs to keep the mic further away from her mouth or something....she was a sensory sensitivity nightmare lol

Weak story

I like Brittney Pressley and Xe Sands
But Xe did one minor character that didn’t do much for the story
Trent, Meli, and even the brother didn’t have complete roles they were introduced as if they were pertinent but fizzled away the end was outrageous even for this genre.
I won’t seek out this author again

Perfection

Full disclosure, I read an earlier draft of this book. It did not influence my review.

Everybody knows with a title like THE PERFECT HOSTS that the hosts are far less than perfect. The Drakes gender reveal party goes horribly wrong causing one death and a number of injuries.

Heather Gudenkauf ups her game with each new release. I’ve been a fan since her debut THE WEIGHT OF SILENCE over a decade ago.

Her characters seem like actual people rather than written characters and the complex plots have me guessing with twists until the very end.

I highly recommend THE PERFECT HOSTS.

Interesting Premise & Plot Twists

The whole story was fascinating, with interesting characters and ever-changing suspicions around them. I love Heather Gudenkauf, and once again, she did not disappoint.

Both narrators were awesome, as always. Brittany Pressley is one of my favorites, and Xe Sands does an excellent job as well.

I definitely recommend!
