Good listen not as good as other books

I like Tessa Afsar’s books. This one is ok but not as engaging as peasant king and the first book about Esther.

Riveting storytelling

This story is captivating! I love how Afshar weaves history with fiction, drawing you into the characters’ worlds with incredible attention to detail. Her grasp of the human heart and the Father’s love are deep and encouraging. I highly recommend this book and all of her stories!

Such Beauty in this story!

I have read all of Tessa Afshar’s books, and once again, she did not disappoint. I absolutely loved the narration in this story. The narrators did an excellent job bringing the characters to life—it truly felt immersive.

I especially enjoyed seeing Aiden from the first book appear in this one. I love how Tessa weaves characters across multiple books; it makes the story feel connected and meaningful.

This book is also a beautiful reminder of our need to trust God and to truly see Him as our Father, regardless of our circumstances. He is a Romans 8:28 God—working all things together for His glory and for the good of those who love Him.

I highly recommend this audiobook. I honestly could not stop listening. Historical Christian fiction is my favorite, and I can’t wait for the final book in the series.

Entranced

I forever enjoy listening by audible. Tessa is so enjoyable. Sometimes it takes me a minute to catch on to her plot and it excites me when I get it.

Love another POV of the same time period.

As always, Tessa’s writing is exceptional. Intelligent and profoundly feeling without being flowery or verbose. I love the multiple points of view from the same time period. The Queen’s Cook and The Royal Artisan orbit the same world without intersecting, giving a fuller picture of the story. I can’t wait for the third book to complete the journey!th
