Martha of Bethany is no stranger to adversity. Slow at first, give it a chance

Grateful

That we are all human and even in His presence, due to the pressures of life, we experience doubt. Give ourselves grace and be thankful He bore it all, already, just because of love.

Love of Jesus

My heart is full and I feel hope, faith and relief from strain. A story of not just human love, but that of our God and Father. I admire Martha’s strength and reading about her encouraged me to strive to be mindful of my own strifes to overcome. To not worry so much. To let the pain go.

Beautifully written to teach the reader more about Mary and Martha and how their lives could have been

I loved this book and how Mary and Martha were portrayed. Beautiful women of God.

A great story!

We know little of the background of Mary and Martha and Lazarus, other than Martha was a hard worker, Mary was not interested in household duties and Lazarus was raised from the dead. This book gives them so much more life and personality and interesting details!

Up From the Dust

It was beautifully narrated story about Mary, Martha, and Lazarus from John 11:38. The novel brought this historical fiction to life. It was inspiring.

Honest and true

A wonderfully honest and true perspective for Martha’s point of view. The Bible gives us very little about Martha. This story is a beautiful portrait of how Martha saw her life and how she experienced her Savior.

Jesus is the Son of God

I liked the whole story and wouldn’t change anything. The narrator is one of my favorites.

I truly enjoyed the story that was told.

I really can't think of anything I didn't like. I think it differed from the actual story but then history doesn't tell us much of these characters after Jesus rose from the dead.
