Can I read it again for the first time please!

What a freaking awesome book. I loved both books. Such a good book I love the fact that Graves is becoming more human and loving Kierse instead of trying to manipulate her mind. I wish I could read it all like I didn’t just finish it.

Captivating

I very rarely write reviews but this series has me hooked! The narration was perfection, and I can’t wait for book 3.

A whole new world!

This is my first series delving into the realms of fantasy, magic, and great romance, and I must say, I’m absolutely captivated! The moment I opened the first book, I was transported to a world that sparked my imagination in ways I never thought possible. From the detailed landscapes to the intricate magic systems, every page is bursting with creativity that keeps me enthralled.

The characters are wonderfully complex, each with their own dreams, struggles, and growth arcs, making them feel incredibly relatable despite the fantastical setting. I’ve grown attached to their journeys, cheering for their triumphs and feeling their heartaches. The friendships that blossom and the dynamics of the romantic relationships are beautifully depicted, weaving a rich emotional tapestry that draws you in even further.

The author's ability to intertwine thrilling adventures with deep emotional connections is masterful. The plot twists leave me breathless, and I often find myself gasping out loud at the unexpected turns. The stakes are high, and the suspense keeps me on the edge of my seat, desperately wanting to know what happens next.

I can’t wait for the next book to come out! The anticipation is almost unbearable, and I’m counting down the days until I can dive back into this enthralling universe. I already have theories about where the story might go and what new challenges await my favorite characters. It’s just the beginning of what promises to be an unforgettable and immersive journey filled with magic, adventure, and heart. I feel so lucky to have discovered this series and can only hope that many more readers will join me in exploring this incredible world!

Great read

Good story and good voice acting …. Looking forward to book 3, I really like the characters and the heists they do in the story.

What a great book 2 in this series! The story picks up several months after book 1 ended, and drops you into the action immediately. Kierse was the same badass thief, but this time with more magic. I loved that she learned to depend on her friends instead of always trying to do everything herself, even when it was hard for her to give up control. Graves was extra swoony in the ways he got Kierse to trust him again, and his protective nature was on full throttle, but he was also softer and more trusting of others and it made him much more likable.

The spice was stepped up a notch for this one. It still wasn’t super over the top, but it kicked off early and there were more scenes than in book 1.

One thing I really love that I haven’t seen mentioned about these books is the perfection in the way sexuality is presented as completely fluid. Almost every character is LGBTQ, and it’s totally normal and accepted without anyone batting an eye. So glad I read this one during Pride month! I wish the real world was the same way.

The audiobook narration by Stephanie Nemeth-Parker was stellar! She flawlessly moved between genders and accents for the vast array of characters and locales.

I love the development of the characters!

I wasn’t sure how she could write another awesome book. I just loved it! I love the action. You never know what is going to happen next.

Romance, fantasy, & spice. Well done! Narration was great, do not hesitate if you only like duel narration, still 5 stars!

Wait to read until series complete (minor spoiler)

My heart is BROKEN. I thought K.A. Linde promised a happy ending - "Come read my second book, The Robin on the Oak Throne, and earn your happily ever after." It would be 5 stars if not for the last few chapters. I know there is another book coming, but UGH I cannot stop thinking about the events in the final chapters. I'm just not sure how the story comes back from it, and now I am angry that I started the series before it was complete.

Ugh KA LINDE YOU’VE DONE IT AGAIN

Loved this. Gobbled it up in a sitting. No notes other than a vehement plea to give me book three before I go into withdrawal.
