I didn’t like the narrator

There are thousands of other books out there that illustrate the same sentiment and wisdom. The language is mind numbing. The narrator has a very childish way of reading. That was hard for me to listen to.

Archaic and difficult for laity to follow, I look forward to a modern reading.

The enticing chapter titles were followed by an archaic and difficult language for today’s laity to follow, I still can’t understand why the author was killed for writing this book. I eagerly look forward to a modern version with a contemporary reader. Hope I’m notified when it does get updated!

A Third Grader Could Have Read A Mirror Of Simple Souls Better Than This Reader

The voice narrating this book is the worst reader I have ever encountered in an Audible book. And I’m a huge Audible fan because they always manage to find amazing readers whose voices are professional and easy on the ears. This woman’s voice literally gets on your last nerve!

The reader sounds like a second grade who has to sound out words that she sounds barely able to pronounce, let alone make a single sentence make sense.

The reader groups every sentence into improper word groups with awkward, staccato phrases and words incorrectly chopped up into unnatural syllable breaks, groupings and pauses.

I tried to hang in there after getting thru the introduction. I thought she would find more confidence in the first chapter, she did not.

In fact, I did not hear this reader pronounce a single sentence in its entirety Im a manner that made any sentence she read make sense. It degenerated into word gibberish of a toddler.

I will search for an ebook tomorrow. My nerves and ears cannot listen to any more of this …

The voice does this historic author, who was burned alive for writing this book, a grave injustice.

Audible needs to pay a scholar to re-record this book, then destroy the current, butchered version of this book and send everyone who bought this bad version a new recording that does this author’s work justice.
