Amazing story!

Lauren Blakely is a phenomenal story teller! I love all her books (at least the ones I have listened to so far!)
This story had me in tears at some points and also frustrated at other points! Loved the love story between the 2 MMCs but was not a huge fan of all the gaps between the years! I feel like the whole series could have been played out in a few short years rather than 20 years! Still a fantastic series! Felt very connected to it all!

Great writing and amazing narrations but…

I’ve listened to a few of Blakely’s books and enjoy them a lot. But for some reason I can’t fully get behind Grant and Declan. Grant gave more towards their relationship… I commend Declan for going to therapy to heal. But Grant gave up being his true self to accommodate for Declan. No drinking, not going out to dance with his man even though he wants to… and the fact that he took him back after being broken up with via text. Grant deserves the world besides just good sex. Other than that, it’s greatly written! Also, Teddy and Jacob always narrate so well! They brought the characters to life.

For The Love of Baseball

I’m going to say right out of the gate that Grant is the better man of the two. I found Declan to be more high maintenance and didn’t give up as much as Grant did. Grant bended more to accommodate Declan vs the other way around.
I did however love the story and the build up of their lives.
The spice-O-meter was 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Yeah baby. They were definitely good together when it came to that.
I really enjoyed the baseball aspect and the supporting characters.
Teddy and Jacob are a dream together.

Both narrotors and author present believable and intense depictions of two men in love

The making love language and terms are not realistic MM events...BUT they are what a woman would interprute in those circumstances and a lot of gay men wish they did.
