Enjoyable

There is a lot going on in this story but it kept me engaged. I’m interested to see if the author will continue and what they will do with this going forward. I have to say I really like the wise, older master being female.

Remain vigilant!

This is a great story about a soldier and one of the last true vigilants. One part fantasy, one part mystery and some horror. It is a really interesting book.
I didn’t like one particular pov character but the story is still great.

An amazing story

I can’t believe anyone could leave a bad review for this book. The world building and character development was great. The combination of fantasy and mystery was great. The narrator was very good. I literally have nothing bad to say about this book.

It was a great high fantasy mystery.

The author had me guessing and second guessing on the mystery but rooting for the main characters. It is the first blended genre of this type I have enjoyed.

Not What I Expected but In a Good Way

This book pleasantly surprised me and reminded me a lot of The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett. If you like fantasy mixed with a mystery, who dunnit story, this is an excellent choice. I’m looking forward to the continuation of the story.
