Another great tale of revenge from Jon Athan

Jon Athan knows how to make your jaw clench throughout a story! This was a great, extreme tale of revenge.

Great author, great book!

I’m diving into Jon Athans books after listening to Our Dead Girlfriend. This is the third book of his I’ve listened to so far. A big reason that I’m liking this author so much is the fact that even tho he’s an extreme horror writer, his books have substance and great storylines! He doesn’t write over the top gore just for the sake of being gory. He’s writing books with great character’s and an actual plot. This book is another example of the perfect balance of extreme horror and story telling. I not only recommend this book, but I recommend checking out this authors other books as well. I’ll be starting the next one by him now. Bon appetite!

Great Horror Novel

This was a great, shocking, crazy and gruesome book. If you like horror this a book for you!

That was pretty good. Gotta love revenge stories, especially when it’s a bully. I went through it myself. It was awful. I never thought of revenge at all, but I reckon I’d enjoy watching a few get 👊 at least 🤣

LOVED IT. Totally relatable to what goes on in my own head. I've been binging on ALL of Jon Athan's since discovering him last year!! Not for easily offended people, although I'd say this is one of his less gory books. More please!!

Brutal. Staying True to Splatterpunk.

This one isn’t my favorite by Jon Athan but it definitely was engaging & a queasy edge of your seat kind of ride. I usually predict the conclusion of books but I guess with this one I was trying to think of any other way it could possibly be besides the way that it went. Spoiler, it went that way. Utter horror. As the narrative slow burned I kept wincing & mouth dropping with each scene. Athan definitely has a talent with splatterpunk genre.

Spoiler: initially I was starting to get irritated with the wife sleeping through everything. I mean c’mon lady, really? & here I was starting to get peeved at Athan for not thinking of something better for her to be doing or be. Sorry, Athan. I judged way too soon. I guess I just wasn’t prepared to expect that absolute worst case scenario in the back of my mind. The last section of the book felt like such a gorey little bow tied around the narrative.
