The narrator sucks!! He sounds like AI robot. Story was great. Would love to listen to the sequel but I can’t listen to the narrator again.

The narration was terrible. The book was great. Clowns have always freaked me out, so killer clowns was perfect.

Pleasantly Bloody

Enjoyed this. Not quite as disturbing as I hoped. Only a few cringeworthy parts. I am just starting Do Not Disturb Part 2 and had forgotten how awful the narration was (same narrator). Sorry Harry, but there is no inflection in the voices. He does a really good job of giving the characters different voices so you know who is speaking, but there is no emotion in the words and a kind of jerky reading that leads me to think it is an AI reading the script.

Awful Narrator

The single worst narrator in the hundreds of audio books I've listened to. The story is fine; it fulfills what one is after in extreme horror. The whole thing is undercut by the narrator who sounds like the dog from Davey and Goliath half the time and whose over-enunciation sounds like a computer pronouncing words.

If you've got Audible plus and can listen for free, maybe you can stomach it for the fun clown carnage, but definitely don't waste a credit without listening to a sample.

Every book is just amazing!

I found this author this year and I’ve been reading his books throughout the months. Started with The Groomer because everybody said not to read it and you know how some people are, I had to go and read it. I was fascinated how somebody can come up with those ideas in their head and write them and put them in a book and sell that book. Then I went back and started reading all of his books, one by one by one, and each one of those books I feel is better than the other one. This one is no exception. The idea of clowns just following you just to kill you, is like he said in the closing remarks, it’s a combination of the purge, and the clowns and that time when the clowns were all over and people were scared of them. I feel the end is appropriate for a follow up book and I already think I saw which one it is so I will probably do that one next, however I do have an ACR I need to leave a review first.
I just want to say how happy I am that I found this author and I found the authors that he enjoys reading and following because it means they are down hid alley of disturbance.
I have terminal cancer, so these books are helping me keep on going, so please John, keep on writing!
I use my Audible when I’m waiting for appts, for scans and for labs. Sometimes the nurses asks what I’m reading and I just say it’s hard to explain, let’s just move on. LOL
