It’s sooooo good!

I love this book and the whole concept of the story. Can’t wait for the next one to come out!

Raw, Real Emotions

I enjoyed it and I was hooked. Piper has a great way of really fleshing out the details I always feel like I am present while listening. And that last line was *chefs kiss* I enjoyed seeing Mare come to life and seeing more of her personality. Seeing a more /human/ side of Fauna was nice as well raw emotions and the way I was transported and brought to tears at multiple times during the listen.

Dying for the next installment!!!!!

Piper CJ did not disappoint even a little! The way she weaves worlds together is as fascinating as the story it’s self. One that I’m dying to know the end to!

Don’t miss this one

I remember reading a review on this series where the reviewer griped about the author drawing too much from her own life and well… DISAGREE!
This book was wonderful on so many different levels. The characters are fleshed out really well. There isn’t a giant neon sign that says “this person is wrong” (Except for Heaven, f*ck those guys lol). The cliffhangers are a TAD annoying but they are well done. The dialogue is.. *chefs kiss*. There are moments in the book where I had to put down to book bc I couldn’t stop laughing (all of them were bc of Fauna, she’s supremely funny to me and I love her). There’s a sense of realism in the book that I don’t know how to explain..
The only real gripe I have is that the structure at the beginning confused me bc I wasn’t expecting flashback chapters.
Go ahead and listen! It’s worth it! (To me)

So I really enjoyed the book but the pace was kinda slow, in the sense that I just expected more to happen during this book. It’s definitely setting up for book 3, and I appreciate the cast of characters since I’m a huge fan of mythology.
