This story rings a particularly poignant note for those in early middle age facing the next part of their lives. This story is considered Tolstoy's best.

Great collection, very well read
This audiobook differs slightly from the original 1911 collection with the same name. It swaps, confusingly, A Dream of Armageddon for A Vision of Judgement, and adds The Crystal Egg. The titular story and The Country of the Blind are two of Wells' greatest. I also loved The Lord of the Dynamos. It's like a racist parable, yet more strangely humane than we'd see from any writer today.

Great classic read! I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I enjoyed this. It took me a few times to get through (had to take breaks for the granddaughter), but worth it.
